Jacques-Henri Lartigue (French, 1894-1986). Silver gelatin print photograph produced in 1978, under the supervision of the artist, with the title and original date in gold reading "1912 Paris. Bois de Boulogne, Monsieur Folletete, Le Secretaire de Papa, Avec son Chien 'Tupy'" depicting a man throwing a dog over a river. Embossed mat details and embossed blindstamp reading "English Language Portfolio, Supervised by Jacques-Henri Lartigue."Provenance: Distinguished corporate collection, Minnesota.Sight; height: 6 1/2 in x width: 7 1/2 in. Framed; height: 17 in x width: 14 in.Condition: No visible tears, creases, losses, or sign of restoration under UV light. The emulsion appears to be smooth and great. Framed under plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. There is a light residue to the outside of the glass along the lower right margin; however, it does not affect the artwork. Light wear to the frame.

Some old chips, splits and losses. It is possible some of the glazed panels are replacements as the putty securing them varies. However, all panes are old glass. Keys present but only operate the lock to the central glazed doors. All other locks are open. Baize surface to the interior of the fall is a replacement and in tired condition. There are also various ink and ring marks to the interior of the fall. Some of the small ivory handles to the interior drawers are lacking or broken. The front of the fall drawer is less faded than the other timbers. The ring to one handle is lacking. One drawer and one door are lacking their escutcheons. Various old veneer and moulding repairs with some filler used in places - see images. The central doors with areas of deep scratches to each side where they have caught on the keys of the doors next to them. Shrinkage in the timbers has resulted in elements of the bookcase fitting together difficulty. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Condition Report Disclaimer

An antique French oak Secretaire, the fall front revealing a fitted interior, and four long drawers. 96x154x54cm.Overall A/F condition. The hinges to the fall front are damaged, and some of the interior fittings are loose such as the central door. Lock does not disengage properly without applying pressure from the inside. Various marks and scratches. Split on right side. Some loose blocks have been placed in a drawer.
