A 19th century mahogany secretaire bookcase with glazed upper section Slight loss of veneer and adjacent splintering possibly associated with frame construction. Slight cracks to sides of base. Slight surface damage to one side of upper section. Damages to drawer cockbeadings secretaire drawer appears to currently be jammed and is not pulling out. Interior of secretaire drawer appears to be good. Top of base slightly warped. Feet possibly reduced.

A late 18th/early 19th century inlaid mahogany serpentine secretaire with freize drawer with drop ring handles, drops to enclose hinged baize covered writing slope, central recessed cupboard flanked by two bowfronted cupboard doors, width 104cm, depth 59cm, height 99cm. CONDITION REPORT: Replacement patch of veneer to top, several ring marks to to top, surface wear and old scratching throughout, bleaching of wood to the left hand side and further restoration of moulding on the left hand edge top and a section to the front.Sun bleaching to the right hand side and again moulding is missing to the right hand side on the top edge, There is a crack to the frieze draw front on the inside next to the hinge bracket and the drawer action is slightly stiff. A large crack to the central cupboard door . Left hand door reattached to side on baton of wood inserted to side panel. Escutcheon missing on right hand door, damage to the bone insert around key hole,Please view additional photographs.
