An Early 19th Century Anglo-Indian Rosewood Secretaire Cabinet, formerly with a superstructure, the deep drawer with fall front enclosing a leather writing surface, small drawers, pigeon holes and two secret drawers, a further drawer below above two cupboard doors enclosing a fitted interior of shelves and eight small drawers, raised on bracket feet, the end panels with hinged doors each enclosing four small drawers, 82cm by 58cm by 103cm Good quality timber and reasonable colour. Natural? fine splits to end panels and top. Top section with numerous ring marks and staining. Large section of moulding missing to the left corner. Later knob handles, previous handle marks partly visible. Secretaire drawer leather replaced, and small defect. Interior rather faded and scratched, and fine natural? split running across the width of the drawer under the pigeon holes. 300914
