Later fabric lining to the interior of the glazed section. Slight warping to the outer doors of the base. Lock plate to the secretaire drawer is lacking. The baize surface to the interior of the drawer is later replacement and has the expected wear and marks. Keys present for two outer doors of the base and operate locks. No keys present for other locks, all are open. A key is seized in the lock of the central glazed doors. Drawers run a little stiff. Wear to felt surface. Repairs to fluted pilasters. Losses to mouldings, some pieces are present. Evidence of old woodworm, and a piece of the left- hand moulding has been recently treated for active woodworm, indicating that further treatment may be required. Some liners to the drawers replaced. Handles probably replaced. Overall the secretaire is in fair aesthetic and structural condition and would likely require some cosmetic and structural attention.
