A late 19c. slate and polished 8 day movement French marble mantle clock, 8 day movement with locking plate striking on both half and hour points. The circular Roman numeric dial stamped "Henry Marc, Paris" surmounted with a figure probably Neptune - the whole raised on a Serpentine front terminating in compressed orb supports and exposed Brocot jewelled escapement with rubies.

A magnificent bronzed cased mantle clock, the central circular roman numeric dial bearing signature with 8 day movement and pierced baton pointers surmounted by a putti and goat each flanked by further putti on a naturalistic berry setting raised above painted floral and cherubic plaques on a heavily case base set with bell flowers and a beaded border. 50cms high.
