An early 20th century French gilt brass champleve enamel and onyx 8 day mantle clockcircular cream enamel dial with blue Roman numerals, minute track and pierced gilt scroll hands, decorated with garlands, drum movement striking on a coiled gong, stamped A & N and numbered 185 4 6, mercury compensated gilt brass and champleve enamel pendulum, the four glass case with baluster side columns and urn shaped finials, on a shaped plinth baseheight 36 cm.Condition: Clock winds ticks and runs, however the pendulum does stop swinging after a while. No guarantee can be offered as to the full working order of this clock. Winding key present. Some wear/oxidation to gilt but not extensive.
