A 19th Century French rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid mantle clock, the eight day movement with silvered dial and Roman numerals and silk suspension by Bazelaire of Paris, the top with brass moulded handle as two clasped hands, the rectangular body with mother of pearl foliate inlay on a stepped base to four squat bun feet CONDITION REPORTS 20.5 cm high
A blue and white faience cased mantle clock, the pediment with stylised shell above an enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the body bearing cartouche of sailing barges and windmill, marked to the back "Made in France 297", the clock mechanism marked "Medaille D'Argent Vincenti 1855" CONDITION REPORTS Has crazing all over as well as some chipping to the extremities. Has several large cracks to the back, unknown if in working order. The racking to the left hand side of the workings cover has been restored and in-filled and the crack appears to be the same on the right hand side but not to such a great-an-extent Pendulum and key are present. The brass ware is tarnished and in some areas is pitting. Has general wear and tear to include surface scratches, firing faults etc. In need of a good clean as is very dirty. The glass has scratching as has the enamelled dial and there is a tiny bit of roughness around the key-holes - see images for further details. 28.5 cm high
French Japy Freres Late 19thC Gilt Metal Ornate 8 Day Mantle Clock with figure of a classical woman to the top of clock. Holding a sickle and wheatsheaf with outer wheel striking on a bell. Japy Freres medallion to the back plate. Requires re gilding. Stands 13.75 inches high. With Key. In working order at time of cataloguing.
A 19th century gilt spelter mantle clock with a portrait bust to the top quiver and flaming torch, swags of flowers, cherubs, etc, the circular enamel dial with Roman numerals, striking on a bell, bears a plaque inscribed "Presented to Mr G W Parry, as a mark of esteem by the cabinet makers of Messrs Jackson and Graham on his resigning his appointment as foreman, August 1877" under a glass dome, clock height 40cm
