French 19th C Superb and Impressive Architectural Japy Freres 8 Day Striking Gilt Mantle Clock with painted enamel dial depicting figures and scenes. Featuring 8 day striking on a gong a half hour and a full hour, with key. Raised on an ebonised plinth. Measures 19 inches 47,5 cms. Signed Japy Freres to back plated, enamel dial and in excellent working order. Hammer strike to gong requires adjustment (Comes with a large glass dome cover which has damage).

Large and Impressive Single Train Fusee Brass Faced Eight Day Mahogany Cased Bank Display Screen Mantle Clock with a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals; makers name to the dial Bracher, Sydenham, Reading, the dial supported by a shaped, fluted undercarriage of pleasing form. The dial is 17 inches in diameter, the clock 32 inches wide x 24 high, which sits on a further mahogany base, 40 inches wide x 7 high x 9 deep; in working order, with bob pendulum; c1890/1900. An Edwardian oak mantle clock with architectural cornice, Corinthian columns, steel dial with three subsidiary dials: 'Chime/Silent', 'Slow/Fast', 'Chime on eight bells/Chime on Four gongs', signed Geo. E. Butcher & Swann Nottingham, triple fusee brass movement, height 59cm, width 42cm & depth 29cm. Condition - chain fusee movement striking on combination of graduated bells and gongs appears to be working correctly (however not sold with guarantee), general wear including damage/repair to cornice, chips to moulding on left back of cornice, wear to dial, marks and scratches etc.
