A FRENCH BOULE MANTLE CLOCK the faux tortoiseshell case with inlaid brass detail, the dial with enamelled Roman numeral markers above a cherub painted panel, the movement by Japy Freres and retailed by W Oppenheim, Londres-Paris and with number 21736cm high Condition Report: Has key and pendulum. Winds and chimes. Some brass is lifting. Back door needs some attention.
A 19th century French ormolu and white marble mantle clock, the white enamel dial with black Arabic and blue Roman numerals, set in a highly decorative white marble case, adorned to the top with a central comport laden with fruits and foliage, flanked by a pair of recumbent classically modelled putti, the case front with further intricately worked mounts, raised on four inverted feet, enclosing an eight day striking movement, stamped 'Viner, Paris' to the back plate, on an associated white marble base and beneath a clear glass dome, complete with keys and pendulum, the clock measuring 39 cm high, 38 cm wide. Sold alongside a valuation undertaken for insurance purposes by B. Trengrove, dated 17th January, 1973, describing and valuing the clock at £240.
A 19th century white marble and ormolu cased portico type mantle clock, the drum cased movement with a white enamel dial, with black and puce Arabic numerals, signed centrally Vauchez a Paris, raised on two lyre shaped pillars with inset porcelain cartouches, below blossoming ormolu sprigs, surmounted with a classical urn finial draped with foliate garland, over a rectangular platform decorated with further highly detailed ormolu mounts, raised on six inverted feet, the movement plat unmarked, complete with sun burst pendulum and key, 52 cm high, 35 cm wide.
A late 19th century French gilt spelter and alabaster mantle clock, the eight day movement chiming on a bell, the gilt metal figure modelled as a seated cavalier drawing an image of a loved one, the alabaster base with cloisonne panels in turn above gilt feet all upon a gilt wood and upholstered stand. Height including gilt stand only 30.5 cm, width 35 cm.
A German oak cased mantle clock, having a two train Junghans movement with two striking hammers (no gongs), the rear door with applied label for retailers Durran & Son, 4 Oxford Street, Reading. 27 cm wide, 38 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on both trains. It appears to be ticking away. The pendulum is present. The striking gong has been removed. We do not have it. The case is in structurally good order with no significant issues. The door is not warped. The rear door is present. The silvered dial is in generally good order with only minor rubbing to the silvering.

CONDITION REPORT: The clock case is in generally good order with no significant issues. The door is not warped. The silvered brass dial is in good condition. The movement winds on both trains and appears to be ticking away. We have the key and pendulum. The brass feet are all in place and original.
An Art Deco period walnut mantle clock, the square dial with eight day movement supported upon squat chromium feet. Width 19.5 cm, height 17.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and appears to be ticking away. The pointers adjust as the should. The clock case is in generally good condition. There are two minor veneer losses to the top left and top right hand corners. There is a further small veneer loss to the bottom left hand side of the clock just beneath the chrome bezel. All feet are original and present.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany balloon mantle clock, the dial marked "A. Barrie, Edinburgh" and with two-train striking movement, all raised on brass bracket feet. Height 32 cm, width 20 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This clock does not have a fusee movement. It does however have the correct movement for a clock of this type. It is two train, eight day striking movement. We have the pendulum. The movement winds on both trains and strikes when advanced. It also appears to be ticking away. The black paintwork to the chapter ring has some losses and the paint is lifting in places. Two of the numerals are slightly loose. There are scratches to the centre of the dial. The front and rear doors close as they should. The clock case is in generally good condition. The bracket feet are a little tarnished.
A 19th century boulle marquetry mantle clock, with two-train striking movement. Height 40 cm, width 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on both trains. It seems to strike when advanced. The clock case is generally somewhat dirty but there are no significant issues. All metalwork is present. The boule marquetry is slightly lifting on the right hand side panel but there are no losses. The door hinges correctly and the face and numerals are in good order.
