Works at time of testing. Minor dings to the top front, bottom back, and some to the feet. Appears to have been regularly cleaned. Indeed, there is silver polish residue behind glass. The eight-day movement striking on a bell, with porcelain dial and separate numerals, in an ormolu case mounted with cupids holding an hourglass, the corners as female caryatid figures, the glazed door mounted with a horse drawn chariot on legs and harebell supports with four feet, the whole on a shaped platform base. 3ft 8ins high x 1ft 11ins wide.

A French Empire gilt brass 8-day mantle clock, early/mid 19th century, the body of architectural form with applied musical trophies and triumphal wreaths and fitted an engraved silvered dial above a cast frieze of musical puttos, supported by decorative toupee feet. The clock is below a blown oval section dome and on a later mahogany base. 37 cm wide x 12 cm deep x 38 cm overall height (just the clock)The movement on visual inspection seems intact and has an outside count wheel and silk suspension pendulum.
