A good early Georgian dolls house and contents, English 1820s, the nicely painted red brick exterior with five glazed windows having painted window bars, moulded surrounds and sills, four grand painted white moulded columns and steps to front door with painted fan light above, pitched black roof and two chimneys, the house on a wooden stand with turned legs, front opens in two wings to four rooms on two levels, rooms with mostly original papers. Top right Bedroom: with four poster bed having embroidered drapes and canopy, marble effect fireplace, candelabras and gilt mirror, dressing table with large Rococo style mirror, mantle clock and perfume bottle, bees wax baby doll, china and later peg doll. Top left Bedroom: with decorative Victorian scraps to walls, metal bed, wood and bead furniture, tinplate wash stand and green painted wooden fireplace, bisque and china dolls (doll on bed lacks feet). Sitting room: with large and grand brass and metal fireplace and surround, with fender and fire irons, wood and brass side table, coal scuttle, two glazed china shoulder head dolls (a.f). Kitchen: with tinplate stove, wooden dresser, table, three later peg dolls and selection of crockery and kitchen ware. ‘Gwen Villa’ Lines Bros Ltd painted wooden dolls house similar to ‘The clock House’ model: 34, with contents, English 1909-10, with painted white exterior and brown exposed beams, on a brown wooden base with painted front door and working bell, flanked by two glazed windows, large portico with two columns and balcony above, having a further two large windows with paper blinds, French doors and attic opening, tiled pitch roof with two chimneys, front opens in two wings to four rooms on two levels. Top right Bedroom includes: wooden bed, built in marble effect fireplace, wardrobe with mirror, table and chairs. Top left Bedroom: Lines Bros bed room suite including bed, wardrobe, dressing table, two chairs and towel rail. Kitchen: built in stove, wooden dresser, table and cupboard, pots, pans, jars and utensils.
