A Mappin & Webb mantle clock, with burr yew veneered case, single train movement raised on carved bracket feet. Height 15 cm, depth 8 cm, width 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and the clock is currently ticking away. The silvered dial has some minor scratches to the silvering. The numerals have some black paint loss. The case itself is in generally very good order with no losses or any significant damage. The colour is good. There are no missing sections of veneer to the front or sides and only minor nibbles around the edge of the rear push in door. These are not visible with the door in position. The bracket feet are original and all present. We have the winding key.

A Victorian black slate and marble mantle clock, with two train movement striking on a gong. Height 32 cm, width 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We do have a key. The movement is currently fully wound on both trains. It does strike when advanced. It is however only ticking for a few seconds at a time at the moment. We have the pendulum. The gong mechanism is a little loose. The clock face is in generally good order as is the glazed door. The case has all of the usual small nibbles and chips as one would probably expect.
A French boulle work mantle clock, early 19th century with eight day movement chiming on a gong, the dial with enamel Roman numerals and an outer engraved minutes chapter ring above an applied gilt metal scrolling panel, engraved to the centre Margueritte Paris, with classical flaming pearl and leaf embellishments, the back plate further engraved Margueritte Paris. Also sections of brass work misshapen and coming away to the base and large scratch to tortoiseshell. See image. Section missing top right of the right hand side. Repair to the tortoiseshell top right of the right hand side. Left hand side - several areas of brass work loose and area of tortoiseshell missing top left. Crack to bottom left of front section. Attributed to Jacob Petit, a mid-19th century, Napoleon III, porcelain mantle clock, richly decorated with panels of flowers against a green and gilded ground, 15 3/4'' high incl. floral finial, 8 1/4'' wide, the movement by Dupont Paris. (Dupont are recorded as clock manufacturers on the Rue St Martin between 1850 and 1860. They supplied many movements to Petit). The porcelain appears to be in very fine condition. The movement has not been tested.
