A FRENCH GILT AND BRONZED SPELTER MANTLE CLOCK, C1880 in the form of a classical maiden seated beside the swagged drum cased movement, the enamel dial inscribed LECLERCQ A PARIS on white marble cavetto plinth and an ebonised base, 36cm h ++No substantial damage, the enamel dial undamaged apparently complete, dusty/gilding dull in places
A French spelter mantle clock modelled as a cherub and animals in a Rococo manner, measuring 13.5" tall, with a bell striking movement. CONDITION REPORT: In fair condition, some cracks to the enamel dial an lacking its glass cover. The movement requires attention, it will wind up and start working, then stop abruptly.
A 19th Century Black Forest type carved cased mantle clock, decorated in high relief with cockerel, chicken and chicks, the 8-day French movement with enamelled Roman numerals to the chapter ring, 34 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Appears to be in good order throughout with no areas of loss though top left over 11 o'clock there are signs of cracking and a flattened area in the wheastsheaf suggesting loss, but appears either to be original or have been missing for some time, the cracking we believe to be part of the original construction - see images for further information. Movement stamped verso "M-488", the bell stamped "L.M. Brete S.G.D.G". Overall condition good though in need of a sympathetic clean as dusty throughout
An early 20th Century blue lacquered and chinoiserie decorated, cased mantle clock, the case with Phoenix and floral spray decoration and with woman playing with a dog in a landscape, the French movement with gilt decorated dial and Roman numerals inscribed "Pleasance & Harper Shrewsbury", no'd to underside of case"2642", 28 cm x 15 cm
A Liberty & Co Tudric Pewter mantle clock with copper and blue enamelled dial and Roman numerals, the base stamped "Made in England Tudric Pewter 013 19", 32.3 cm wide x 16 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Basically sound though with some areas of damage to the casing suggesting a fall at some point. Left hand side of dome large dent. Left hand rear corner with dent. Right hand rear corner with some silver peeling to corner with loss. Face and movement appear to be intact. All of the silver work with oxidisation, could do with a good clean and, where dented, sympathetic restoration. Movement cover with some pitting. When lightly wound the movement appears to work though this is not guaranteed
A Victorian silver cased and tortoiseshell mounted mantle clock of lancet form raised on stepped bracket feet, the movement with white enamelled dial and Roman numerals by Wright & Davies, London, 1896, 8.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS We are not clock specialists and do not sell anything in working order. Unable to get to the mechanism easily so cannot comment on it. Various light scratches to the case, some light dents to the case. Appears to be some fine cracks in the dial including one ranging from the nos 4 - 6 along the edge. Various general small signs of wear and tear through age and use throughout. Some pitted like black marks. Suggest viewing in person
