A SOUTH AFRICAN PRESENTATION TWIN TRAIN MANTLE CLOCKWith presentation plaque engraved '1000000 Tons Presented to Jack Van Elsen Johannesberg 1924', on wooden base, the clock designed as a shift clock with working miner striking a blue gem encrusted rock, hallmarked as silver-gilt and the rock is inset with blue gems, the drum case engraved with two shift start times, 4 inch dial, the clock 25 cm high, excluding baseCondition report: Rubbing to the gilding to some of the elements, and some tarnishing in other areas. The dial looks to be alabaster. Pendulum and key.
