TWO MANTEL CLOCKS, comprising a Victorian black slate and marble mantel clock, the case of architectural form with gilt details, the black dial having gilt Roman numerals, and brocot escapement, personalised plaque on front of base reading 'Presented to F S Marsh by the managing director, officials and employees, of the Birch Coppice Colliery on the occasion of his marriage August 25th 1885', height 49cm x width 34cm x depth 15.5cm, with pendulum and key, together with an Edwardian inlaid domed top mantle clock, the white dial having black Arabic numerals and painted with floral garlands (some cracking), height 26cm x width 18cm x depth 12cm, with pendulum and key (2 + 1 envelope) (Condition report: both mechanisms may need some work, running intermittently and chiming, the slate clock strikes the hour on the half hour and vice versa, some chips to slate and veneer, marble columns and some slate parts have moved)

A 19th Century French Gilt Brass "Four Glass" Mantle Clock, by Japy Freres, Paris, No. 2175, the 4ins cream enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, within gilt oval cartouche and with pierced floral ornament to centre, to the eight day two train movement, striking on a gong and with mercury compensated pendulum in case with moulded cornice, slender turned columns to front and inset with bevelled glass panels on turned feet, 13.25ins high
An elegant white Marble cased mantle Clock having a two-train movement, the white face with Roman numerals and regulator spindle concealed in the rim of the face above the 12 o'clock position, the face with the name ''Polonie Paris'', the brass movement stamped 1834 and having an external count wheel. The clock is surmounted by the figure of a young fisherman holding a lute, leaning on a rock with a fishing net draped and gazing at a portrait miniature of his loved one, the ground at his feet with sea-shells, 16 3/8" high x 9 7/8" wide x 5 7/8" deep. (chip to rear of case, bell and winder not present).

An exceptional French ormolu and white marble Mantle Clock, by Samuel Marti Paris, c. 1900, the case in the form of a four wheel carriage with three cherubs, the drum with an enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals around a skeleton movement with hammer pendulum and striking on a steel bell, the drum surmounted with a slated cherub on a cushion, another cherub steering with two goats attached to a shaft and a third cherub shoving the carriage, the case and carriage cast with scrolling foliage, vines and mythical animals on a two stage oblong marble base with conforming mounts on four lion paw feet, 44cms x 46cms (17" x 22"). (1) Provenance: Kilkenny Castle Dispersal Sale 1935, by descent to the present vendor.
A fine late 19th Century French gilt brass and porcelain three piece Mantle Clock Garniture, comprising an architectural style Clock with porcelain urn finial above a circular porcelain dial decorated with birds and Roman numerals, and a landscape below flanked with four baluster shaped porcelain columns to each corner on an inverted breakfront plinth 41cms x 31cms (16" x 12"); together with a pair of matching Urns, 29cms (11 1/2").
