'Roy, best wishes from Dawn Addams', slightly bumped and tarnished, 4in. x 3.5in. x 1in., together with a Gold Money Clip, c.1940, the circular medalion showing a relief design of St. Christopher carrying Jesus, the reverse engr. 'Roy, love Tallulah [Bankhead]', 2in. x 1.5in., plus a Black Papier Mache box with a hand-painted lid depicting a scene from the Magic Squirrel, c.1970s., with a handwritten card inside, 'Dearest Roy, thanks for all the fun - this comes from Kiev and is made from old Russian tails.... - don't throw it away - the're hard to find!, love David [Niven]', 6in. x 3.25in. x 1.5in. All three items were presented to Roy Ashton, the famous make-up artist of Hammer Horror Films. (4)

The King, 72 Wigmore St, London W', with black japanned case containing original gas mantel and reflector, with shaped chimney above and lacquered brass lens assembly to front, 30cm high; another similar lacking lamp; and six boxes of slides containing Mediterranean and Middle Eastern topographical views.
DAME LAURA KNIGHT Behind the Scenes at the Old Vic signed and inscribed, charcoal, 35.5 x 25cm This sketch depicts the Birmingham Old Rep production of Shakespeare's Henry VI trilogy at the Old Vic in 1953. Laura Knight was commissioned by Sir Barry Jackson to do a series of drawings to coincide with the Birmingham Rep's 40th anniversary. In her autobiography - The Magic of a Line - she writes "From among the many subjects I have studied, few have interested me more than those I found at the Old Vic. I filled many big sketch books with perhaps the best drawings I ever did of life backstage." In excellent condition
