A circa 1920s puppet theatre, the three puppets each with painted wooden arms and legs, with iron loop attachments and cotton clothing, the whole with a cream and gold painted backdrop with fringed curtains, all housed in a folding iron bound pine box, bearing a paper label for 'The London Magical Co, 153 Kentish Town Rd, London', box dimensions w.113cm, d.34cm, h.24cm. Renowned conjurer and ventriloquist Ernest Sewell started the London Magical Company in 1919, producing board games, magic trick publications and magic sets of conjuring tricks amongst other things.

The Passport was designed and thought up by Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back Producer, Gary Kurtz, to enable full security within the Star Wars stages during filming at Elstree Studios, whilst at the same time adding an ingenious piece of Star Wars magic. Called the Passport for obvious reasons, being that pages had to be stamped for clearance on to certain named areas of the Star Wars Stages. Emmott of 30 Carr Road, Nelson, possibly a member of Nelson Photographic Society, subjects include portraits of a local watchmaker, a weaver, a seamstress and a shoeing smith, children playing in the streets, men loading hay, people in Argument Yard (Whitby) and a 70-year old man marked "3 Score and 10", together with other slides covering scenes such as Bostal Heath Ambulance Camp (1898), Toynbee Hall (Spitalfields), Chingford Ambulance Camp and Morecambe Bay (Qty: approx. 60)

With Edwin Shirley logo on pocket and Queen 'Magic' characters on the sleeve, unworn.Provenance: This item has been consigned by Peter Hince. Peter 'Ratty' Hince met Queen in 1973 when they were opening for Mott the Hoople, began working full-time for the band in 1975 during recording of their A Night at the Opera album, and stayed on as the head of their road crew until their final concert in 1986. No copyright is assigned with this item.. No size but appears to be Large.
