A FINE QUALITY LARGE JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SILVER MODEL OF A GOSHO GURUMA COURT CARRIAGE, weighing 2.01Kg in total with separate bench and ladder, the carriage mounted on a fitted wood stand that also holds a separate bench for resting the shafts and a ladder for the back of the carriage, the front doors of the carriage opening to reveal three drawers, the roof of the carriage engraved with phoenix, the sides and the wheels engraved and cast with various scroll, linked wan, weaved and tassel designs, the separate bench with similar scroll decoration, the base of the carriage with an impressed ‘silver made’ mark, the carriage 14.5in long & 7.3in high, the bench 2.6in wide & 1.8in high, the ladder 3.4in high, the wood stand 16.1in x 7.1in x 1.7in high.
