1954 MG TF Transmission: manualMileage:10250Originally launched at the 1953 Motor Show, the MG TF was greeted with mixed reactions from enthusiasts and journalists alike. To the Abingdon engineers, led by Cecil Cousins, it was a model that was sufficiently different from its predecessors and yet continued the traditional T-Series classic lines and the end result was very pleasing to the eye. Interior wise and in keeping with the external modifications, the cockpit layout was quite radically different to that of its predecessor and formed a comfortable and pleasant place to be. Individually adjustable seats were provided in place of the normal bench type seating and the facia panel was completely new with a welcome return to octagonal instrumentation. Often referred to as 'the last of the square riggers' the MG TF gained this title due to its very strong resemblance to the pre-war MG Midgets. This delightful MG was previously owned by an Austrian businessman who used the car to drive around his factory. The car was repatriated to the UK in 1991 and it received a light restoration around this time, presumably it was also converted to right hand drive at this time. The current owner and vendor purchased the car in 1991 and has thoroughly enjoyed owning this pretty TF. Finished in white with red interior and supplied with a V5C registration document together with a history folder. MG TF's are widely regarded as the best of the 'T' range and this delightful example cannot fail to remind you what classic motoring is all about.

Sunflowers Artist:   Shelagh SealesSunflowers - Shelagh was delighted to receive this colourful theme.  The painting of the bench was inspired by memories the fields of sunflowers in southern France and the sunflower maze at Frogs Farm.  Her granddaughter Daisy adding the Ukrainian flag symbolising their national flower. Sponsor:   Dream On Beauty

Moments & Memories Artist:   Wendy Aiken Photographyhttps://www.wendyaikenphotography.co.uk/Sponsor:   Rosedale Funeral HomeRosedale chose the Disney film 'Up' for the theme of their bench in Eye because it tackles some difficult and often taboo subjects such as the loss of a baby, the bereavement of a life partner and the loneliness and grief that can last for a very long time.  The film also carries messages of positivity and hope showing how friendships and support can help you through the tough times and that there are still opportunities for new adventures and opportunities.  Rosedale carried out a Facebook poll to choose the main quote on the front of the bench but they loved all the thought provoking quotes from the film and included more on the back.  They very much hope that the bright colours will make people smile.https://www.rosedalefuneralhome.co.uk/

County Of SuffolkFramingham Castle, the historical Sutton Hoo helmet, and the breathtaking nature and coastline. Suffolk's rich history and natural beauty have been my muse, guiding me through this creative endeavor. From the castle's ancient walls to the grace of the Suffolk Punch, and the tranquil coastline that stretches along the North Sea, each image aims to capture the essence of this beautiful county. However, it's important to mention that with such a wealth of landmarks and beauty, couldn't include every single one on the bench. There are just so many hidden gems and remarkable places in Suffolk that it was a delightful challenge to select the most representative icons. Artist:   Daisy Hepzibah Sponsor:   Suffolk Child Counsellinghttps://suffolkchildcounselling.com/

Lot 5

We are what we are Artist:   Derek JohnsonThis piece deals with the layers of human conversations and moments of personal contemplation that a public bench will witness in its life - people stopping to think, to talk, to touch, to check their phone, to give their dog a treat, to dream... to look out into the world and try to make some sense of things. Sponsor:   Eastern College Group

Lot 7

Into The Jungle Artist:   Anna PartingtonAnna is always inspired by nature and wanted to use her sponsors, Wheatley Solutions’ data dots branding and colours to represent the natural elements of flowing energy. Using the data dots as the bedrock of this year’s design, growing from the legs of the bench, Anna wanted the dots to merge into luxurious leafy forms with a sumptuous tropical jungle theme.https://www.annapartington.com/ Sponsor:   Wheatley Software Solutionshttps://www.wheatleysolutions.co.uk/

Lot 9

Blossoming Skies Artist:   Beyond The WallOur inspiration for the design of our bench was our wonderful Walled Garden at Thornham walks. The way the flowers inside the wall wave in the sunshine and the bees, butterflies and ladybirds buzz around. We enjoy spotting nature around the gardens and often head out on nature trails. We wanted this to be a bench that everybody could relate too and join in with the spotting too. Our thoughts where that the public could join in with a nature hunt when they look at the bench and think "how many ladybirds can I spot? can I see the poppies? how many sunflowers are on the bench?". We also love rainbows at Beyond The Wall and thought this would be a fun addition to add to the back of the bench and would make the bench accessible to all of our gardeners (adults with additional needs) to be able to join in with the painting. https://www.beyondthewall.org.uk/ Sponsor:   Susan Whymark Funeral Service Ltdhttps://www.susanwhymark.co.uk/

Lot 30

The Hot Seat Artist:   Alison CouchmanThe design was inspired by the business of the sponsor so flames were an easy choice of motif. Alison started with paper, pencil and scissors, drawing and cutting flames to help create a layout in the right scale for the bench. It also helped to work out how to layer the flames -  which would sit in the background and the foreground.  Alison enjopyed the idea of people sitting in the flames.https://www.facebook.com/alisoncouchmanoriginals/ Sponsor:   ExempliFirehttps://www.exemplifire.co.uk/

Lot 19

Archibald Artist:   David PringleDavid felt that the bench would look great as a Grand Piano so set about creating the look.  He decided to challenge himself this year and along with the clean lines of the piano, he also tried his hand at the drip technique….the contrast makes a big impression. Sponsor:   Eye Town Councilhttps://www.eyesuffolk.org/

Lot 10

The Magic of Books Artist:   Harriet TitlowHarriet loves a good fantasy story. The way they help us to escape into our imagination, to discover fantastical realms and magical creatures. The idea behind this bench was to show the magic coming out of a book as a little girl reads, with the fantasy elements flowing out in the form of unicorns and dragons and more! The artist hopes to encourage more children to read and discover that magic for themselveshttps://www.hazzart.com/ Sponsor:   Malthouse Security Ltdhttps://www.malthouse-security.co.uk/

Lot 24

Sakura Artist:   Ian LastThe inspiration for ‘Sakura’ (Japanese for cherry blossom) came from the word used by the ‘blossom’ charity. Choosing a lovely pink to represent cherry blossom, the flowers start budding up and increasing in number as you look up towards the top of the bench. The branches were deliberately painted white to make the blossom stand out more and not to over complicate the design. The blossom represents what is inside all off us and reflects the work done by the blossom charity with their helping and encouragement to people. A pleasing blue that compliments with the pink was chosen as the backdrop to look good in a garden setting.https://www.instagram.com/ian_last_art Sponsor:Adnamshttps://adnams.co.uk/

Ain't got the froggiest Artist:   Amanda ChurchAin’t Got The FROGgiest - The idea for this design was born out of the pattern from a vintage dress and as the bench was situated at Frogs Farm (sunflower maze near Eye) Amanda thought it would be fun to hide six action frogs on it.  Have you ever seen a Superman Frog?  Sponsor:   Frogs Farmhttps://www.frogsfarm.co.uk/

Lot 32

Forget me not Artist:   Bridget McIntyreThe forget-me-not flower is commonly associated with several meanings and symbols which appealed to me to paint . These include 1. Remembrance: The forget-me-not is often seen as a symbol of remembering loved ones, memories, or important events.2. Love and Affection: It can represent true love, deep emotions, and enduring connections.3. Friendship and Solidarity: The forget-me-not can symbolize strong bonds, loyalty, and the lasting nature of friendships. It is particularly strong for the Freemasons who sponsored this bench 4. Hope and Resilience: It can be a symbol of hope, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges or hardships.5. Alzheimer's Awareness: In some contexts, the forget-me-not is used as a symbol to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and dementia. This was particularly poignant as my lovely father was recently diagnosed with dementia It was lovely to paint the forget me nots growing all over the bench . I hope you enjoy .  Sponsor:   Hartismere Lodge
