A RARE .177 (BB) SPORTAMATIC FAIRGROUND CONSTANT-FEED AIR-POWERED MACHINEGUN, no visible serial number, circa 1950, with chrome-plated 27 1/2in. barrel including reverse conical turned muzzle-brake, the first half of the barrel with chromed ventilated barrel jacket, squared folded steel body in loose style of a .30 Calibre Browning finished in metallic blue paint, chromed pillar fore-sight and ring rear-sight, the body with short tubular hopper for steel bb's and a flat chromed plate marked 'SPORTAMATIC, PATENT', twin spade-grip handles to rear with central push-button trigger, the front of body with air inlet pipe, the whole mounted on its original chrome plated tripod drilled for bench-mounting, some loss to painted finish and frosting to chromed areas.

1954 MG TF 1500 Transmission: manualMileage:4363Originally launched at the 1953 Motor Show, the MG TF was greeted with mixed reactions from enthusiasts and journalists alike. To the Abingdon engineers, led by Cecil Cousins, it was a model that was sufficiently different from its predecessors and yet continued the traditional T-Series classic lines and the end result was very pleasing to the eye. Interior wise and in keeping with the external modifications, the cockpit layout was quite radically different to that of its predecessor and formed a comfortable and pleasant place to be. Individually adjustable seats were provided in place of the normal bench type seating and the facia panel was completely new with a welcome return to octagonal instrumentation. Often referred to as 'the last of the square riggers' the MG TF gained this title due to its very strong resemblance to the pre-war MG Midgets.This stunning left hand drive example of this British classic is presented in red burgundy with a beige interior and was imported to the UK in 1997. Upon delivery here, it then became the subject of a ground-up nut and bolt restoration between 1997 through to 2013 of which there is a photographic history chronicling this work and it also comes with a Heritage Certificate. During the rebuild, its engine was upgraded to a newer 1500cc along with a four-speed gearbox, which provided this pretty classic with much better performance and subsequently an improved driving experience. The car has only had one owner since the rebuild was completed and has covered a mere 4,363 miles in the last 10 years.

The Defender 90 was a popular choice among off-road enthusiasts and was also used by military and law enforcement agencies around the world. Today the Land Rover Defender 90 is a highly sought-after collector's item for those who appreciate its iconic design and legendary off-road capability.This absolutely stunning example of this iconic British 4x4 model has been the subject of extensive restoration and finished to a very high standard, where all parts were either renewed or refurbished. Its original 300 TDi engine was taken out, stripped and rebuilt. The underneath of this Land Rover is as good as it is on top, showing its new galvanized Richards chassis, new shock absorbers, brakes etc fabulous! Finished in Heritage Green with a tan/black interior and a new beige canvas hood which looks superb. There are bench seats to the rear offering great capacity for extra persons, should the occasion arise to give anyone a lift! Its 2.5 litre diesel engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and produces great towing power and torque. Stunning!

1980 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC Transmission: automaticMileage:69241The R107 and C107 Mercedes-Benz SL variants have long been revered amongst classic car devotees, being built to exacting engineering standards and with a subtle air of sophistication. These cars were built from 1971 through to 1989, the second longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz after the G-Class. The SL (R107) was a two-seat convertible with standard soft top, optional hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench. Its sibling, the SLC (C107) or 'SL Coupé' derivative, was a two-door hardtop coupé with normal rear seats. It was launched at the Paris Motor Show and signalled a shift in management thinking at Stuttgart about what made a successful luxury coupé. Sporting a longer wheelbase and sufficient interior room for four, the SLC was a sleek two-door car that combined the seating advantages of a four-door saloon with the style of a sporty coupé. This 450 SLC presents in very good order throughout, the 4520cc, V8 engine runs smoothly and efficiently. Recently repainted in metallic blue the coachwork is in tremendous condition and the cream cloth interior virtually unmarked. This example benefits from the rare feature of a factory fitted metal sunroof. Originally registered on 14th August 1980, this Mercedes-Benz has only four previous keepers. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate. This attractive SLC featured in the 2007 film 'Rise of the Footsoldier' the Pat Tate story, a copy of which is included in the documentation pack. SLCs are becoming recognised as an underrated 80's classic with good examples changing hands at prices similar to the equivalent roadster.

Richard Spare Chat (detail), 2023 Drypoint and watercolour on paper Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) This lot has been curated by AOAP About Richard Spare is a painter and printmaker. After studying painting at Maidstone College of Art in the 1970s, Richard embarked on a career that has seen him edition work for a number of leading contemporary artists including David Hockney, Robert Ryman and Jasper Johns among others. He has exhibited his own work internationally and has often displayed work in our own Summer Exhibition over the years. He first came to Hockney's attention in 1977 working as his assistant. During their time together, Spare took charge of setting up an etching studio for him and observed Hockney creating sets for a Glyndebourne production of The Magic Flute. A decade later, Spare was working with Jasper Johns in New York, proofing and editioning complex carborundum prints. Today, Spare focuses on producing his own work, drawing on themes of nature and travel. Based in Charlton, he works from a converted Victorian coach house. A homage to the art of printmaking, this specially designed studio is home to his lovingly restored antique etching presses.
