dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: England, Round, smooth, 17 mm cal. barrel with outline at the base and stamps of the Birmingham test bench. Lock with flat plate, outlined and with lowered tang, signed 'RICHARDS'; hammer engraved with floral motifs and provided with external secure-lock. Sealing pan with spring and anti-friction wheel. Smooth, wooden full stock. Brass trigger guard, counter-plate and muzzle ring; typical, iron ramrod with articulated hook. length 37 cm.
THREE PIECE SUITE OF COALBROOKDALE STYLE CAST IRON GARDEN FURNITURE of stylised interlacing foliate and naturalistic design, having arched backs and scroll shaped arms on end supports with hoof shaped feet. Slatted wooden seats. (3) The bench 126cm wide, the chairs 60cm wide approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: In original out of garden condition overall with surface rust, slat missing off bench, slats being very dry, two small hair cracks noted to the back of the settee. Unmarked.
