The Calthorpe Motor Co of Bordesley Green, Birmingham made Cars between 1904 and 1932. There was no Grand Prix in France in 1909, but instead the Automobile Club de France organised their own Voiturette Race. Cars from the Calthorpe Motor Company successfully competed in that race.

C`est dans le cadre de ses cours qu`elle exécuta cette reliure en Revorim. Cette matière plastique utilisée dans l`automobile fut dévoyée et utilisée par Jean de Gonet en reliure dès la fin des années `80. Ce nouveau matériau l`obligea à repenser le façonnage, les plats et le dos devenant indépendants et la couture apparente.Ce livre noir est composé de 19 pages entaillées de 4 "lignes" sur lesquelles un triangle de papier coloré cousu au point de croix, une croix en fil rouge et des empreintes en triangle ou croix dessinent une écriture abstraite.
