Registration : T15CJG Chassis Number : ZAR91660006060900 Engine Number : 1477408 Odometer reading : 57,957 miles Estimate : No Reserve The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Veloce (GTV) designed by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina was planned to re-establish the sporty coupé tradition of Alfa Romeo for the 1990s. After the Fiat CEO accepted the design, Alfa Romeo Centro Stile was responsible for the completion of the detail work and also for the design of the interiors as Pininfarina's proposal was not accepted. A typical Italian design, low-slung, wedge-shaped with a low nose and high kicked up tail or 'Kamm tail' gave improved aerodynamics and, at its launch, many journalists commented that Alfa had improved the overall build quality considerably and that it came very close to equaling its German rivals. The GTV was indeed favourably received by the written press, winning awards such as Autocar Magazine's '1995 Car of the Year', Car Magazine's 'Best Designed Car' and in 1995 was awarded 'The World's most Beautiful Automobile' award. Presented in silver with black leather interior, this one owner from new Alfa Romeo 916 GTV, with just 57,957 miles, has an unsurprisingly good history; a comprehensive service file including a full, handwritten log of the car's history and every MoT from new can be found with the car and in this fabulous condition, we would safely say this has future classic potential.
Chassis Number : ZFFKZ66B000168684 Engine Number : 151175 Odometer reading : 33,000 km Estimate : £180,000 - £200,000 Ferrari said, upon release, that the Scuderia Spider 16M is the highest performance Spider that it had ever made. Like the fixedhead F430 Scuderia, this car also incorporates what Ferrari calls 'F1-derived' technology. With a limited edition 499-unit production run, the '16M moniker' refers to Ferrari's 16 F1 Constructors World Championships- the latest of which was achieved in 2008. Although the 16M is derived from its enclosed predecessor, Ferrari had taken the Scuderia concept even further. Despite the additional body strengthening, the 16M is 80kg lighter, tipping the scales at an admirable 1340kg. Much of this has been achieved by a major overhaul of the double-wishbone suspension as well as new dampers and a new steering box, even gaining titanium springs and wheel bolts, a measure of the 16M's extreme engineering brief. Powered by the same 503bhp version of Ferrari's 4.3 litre, V8 found in the coupé, the 16M had undergone an extra tweak in the form of redesigned pistons which also allow for a higher compression ratio offering 80% of the engine's torque on tap from 3,000rpm. The engine drives the F1-SuperFast2 six-speed transmission, which can execute shifts in a claimed 60 milliseconds via the steering wheel paddles. Helping keep the 16M on the road is the F1-Trac traction control system which allows the driver to select five basic 'characters' for the 16M from wet conditions, through good-road holding and track-driving. The car's electronic safety net can, though, be progressively disabled with the CT setting allowing oversteer at maximum power and CST taking away everything but the E-Diff's efforts. Capable of being pleasantly civilised and surprisingly aggressive, this 16M Scuderia, presented in Ferrari White with deep red Suede trim, was purchased, or rather, was allowed to be purchased by a wealthy eastern European business man in 2009 from Karner & Grossegger Automobile Ferrari in Austria. Initially cared for by Warm UP KFT Ferrari in Budapest, the initial owner transferred ownership to his son in 2011 before selling the vehicle on to a prominent business contact of the family in Spain where Guarnieri Marbella and C.DE Salamanca S.A Ferrari have since serviced and cared for the car. Offered with UK registration, this lefthand drive example is offered complete with all handbooks and relevant documents and, by our estimations, is a genuine example of a fast appreciating limited-edition Ferrari, a motorcar that Ferrari were rightly very proud of and, with only 499 ever produced many of which will never come to market, this is a rare opportunity to own a slice of Maranello's finest.

- Bodied by the Olympia Carriage Works Ltd of Hammersmith - Featured in The Beaulieu Encyclopaedia of the Automobile (Volume 2) - Well known in VCC circles (and dated on 24th August 1957) Further Info: Introduced in 1912, the Vinot 12/14hp was powered by a four-cylinder 1692cc monobloc engine allied to four-speed manual transmission. The former featured pressure lubrication; while the latter employed a vertical change mechanism (3rd and 4th being sited under 1st and 2nd within its cylindrical casing). One of just two cars known to have been bodied by the Olympia Carriage Works Ltd of Hammersmith - the other being a Bentley 3 Litre - chassis 16090 was first registered as `BL 4181' on 6th April 1915. Supplied new to Edward Freeman of Wellington College, the Tourer subsequently passed to Arthur Curtis of Middlesex (December 1916) and Arthur Short of Nottingham (March 1919). Reputedly belonging to the Skelmesdale Shoe and Slipper Co by c.1940, the Vinot was sold to Douglas Dixon of St Helens during 1956 and only entered the current family ownership upon his death some forty-four years later. Writing to Motor Sport magazine in June 1976, Mr Dixon recalled that he had (a) found the 12/14hp `in complete and original condition, only in need of a repaint', (b) `done many thousands of miles both on rallies and long runs for my own pleasure' and (c) placed 3rd-in-class during the VCC's 1960 Prescott meeting. Well known in Veteran Car Club circles since it was issued with Certificate of Dating No. 657 on 24th August 1957, `BL 4181' has also graced the pages of Veteran & Vintage magazine (June 1964) and The Beaulieu Encyclopaedia of the Automobile (Volume 2, edited by Nick Georgano). Treated to sundry rewiring in 2000 and refurbished wire wheels / fresh tyres in 2003, the Tourer underwent a thorough engine overhaul in 2005 (circa 800 miles ago). Upgraded with a dynamo, electric fan and modern starter motor, this delightfully patinated Vinot burst eagerly into life upon a recent inspection. Offered for sale with history file including old MOT certificates dating back to 1961, assorted marque information and numerous invoices.
- One of just two known survivors and dry stored for c.50 years - In single family ownership from new until 2006 - Refurbished body/ash frame but mechanics/electrics need overhauling Further Info: Coinciding with its relocation from Scotland to Colindale, Beardmore launched the MKIV Paramount during 1933. Upholding the marque tradition of in-house coachbuilding, the newcomer could be had in Saloon (four-/six-light) or Landualette (single/three-quarter) guises; though, all MKIVs were powered by the same proprietary Commer 14hp engine. First registered by Liverpool Council on 6th September 1934, `AKA 199' is understood to have remained in single family ownership from new until 2006. Reputedly 1 of just 2 known survivors, the Beardmore comes with a fantastic selection of period photos and still displays its 1957 hackney tax disc. Laid-up for almost fifty years prior to featuring in The Automobile (August 2006), the MKIV was hailed as a wonderful discovery. Determined to preserve its `oily rag' patina, the vendor has sympathetically restored the body and ash frame. The former has been repaired and then painted to blend in with the existing livery, while the latter has received new rear: wheel arches/inner framing/door pillars so that the rear doors `open and close with a lovely thunk as all proper taxis should'. Boasting much of its original black leather trim, this delightful MKIV is in need of a new hood plus total mechanical and electrical restoration.
