Foster (Lieut. Col. Rodney) Autobiography, 19 manuscript diaries covering the period 1882-1962, each approx. 11 x 8in. The diaries are very comprehensive and include 100's of watercolours, maps, photographs and caricatures plus biographical descriptions and thumb nail sketches of many of the people mentioned, particularly the military. Also included is a manuscript binder identifying 'Fosters' in the British Army since the 18th century, 2 vols of watercolours which include caricatures, cartoons, native inhabitants and military types, a bound volume of individual 'La Vie Parisienne' magazines, 1920's, a contemporary typescript diary 'Chitral Reliefs 1904' with the supporting column.
