Faux Medieval Manuscript. Large folio vellum page featuring choral music notation together with a Latin ecclesiastical text in the Medieval style. One side features an elaborated historiated initial letter. Provenance and date are unknown but the flaking of the ink used for the black lettering in some places and the qualitative state of the vellum suggests an accomplished Victorian facsimile. CONDITION REPORT: Some small water stains towards one edge and one side of the sheet lightly 'browned' through light exposure when originally framed and glazed - side with the historiated letter is brighter. Generally vg. on one side.
