A Large & Splendid French Empire Bronze & Ormolu Figural Candelabra in the style of Pierre Philippe Thomire (1751-1843) . The dark brown patinated figure of Niké dressed in billowing robes and raising a six branch torch aloft; the gilt bronze upswept arms bearing cylindrical candle sockets & issuing down-swept foliate scrolls. Niké stood on a sphere raised on fanned leaves above a cylindrical base embellished with gilt appliqués in the form of swaged torchères. 43 ins (111 cms) in height, 9 ins x 9 ins (23 cms x 23 cms).
A French Empire Gilt Bronze Fire Kerb. The pierced rail ornately cast with a row of anthemion & foliate motifs below an ebonised rod with finialed ends held between fine fircone mounts. The breakfront ends surmounted by later black patinated Classical Goddesses, 35½ ins (90 cms) in width (restored).
A Pair of Fine Quality 19th Century Rouge Royal Marble & Ormolu Cassolettes. The domed covers surmounted by berried finials above a pierced frieze of stylised foliage. The urns inset with a wide band of classical figures & raised on gilt bronze fluted pedestals leading down to square bases applied with finely cast gilt bronze mounts incorporating shield, helm & axe. 19 ins (48 cms) in height.
A Bronze Tazza signed F. Barbedienne of golden brown patination. The dish centred by a medallion relief cast with a Roman profile portrait. The two protruding handles cast with foliate scrolls and a bearded face mask beneath. Raised on a short pedestal base 6 ins (15 cms) in diameter 1¾ ins (4.5 cms).
A 19th Century Bronze Clock after Joseph Pollet (1814-1870), the movement striking a bell and stamped `Medaille d`Or, Paris`. The nude female figure titled `Une Heure de la Nuit` standing upon a globe studded with gilt stars amongst billowing clouds. The applied numerals centred by snake-form hands. The black marble elongated oval plinth having a moulded edge enriched with a beaded border and raised on knop feet. Bearing a metal plate on the underside with the inscription Etoile, Boulle Etoille 1856. 22¼ ins (56.5 cms) in height, 13½ (34 cms) in width, 6½ ins (16.5 cms) in depth.
A Pair of Fine 19th Century Satsuma Vases, the gilt bronze rim cast with an ornamental gilt border; the bulbous forms enriched with figural scenes & gilded highlights. The bronze square base with pierced stylised foliate panels cast with a lion head at each corner and issuing the feet from their mouths. 14½ ins (36.5 cms) in height.
A 19th Century Chinese Mahogany Display Cabinet on Stand. The crested top rail carved with stylised scroll motifs and fronted by a bronze dragon leaning over the edge. The glazed door enclosing a velvet lined interior with two height adjustable shelves. The uprights adorned with brass appliqués and incised with undulating flowering vine. The stand having legs with protruding lion head masks supporting the lower shelf. Raised on knop feet and measuring 69 ½ ins (177 cms) in height, 28½ ins (72 cms) in width, 16 ins (40 cms) in depth.
Collin; Albéric (1886-1962). A French Art Nouveau Bronze Flamingo Lamp of brown patination. The feathery plumage inset with coloured opaque glass segments and standing with one leg raised on a naturalistic rocky base; signed by the artist. 30 ins (77 cms) in height, 18 ins (46 cms) in width, 7 ins (18 cms) in depth.
A 19th Century White Marble Mantel Clock. The surmounting gilt bronze cherub with bow & arrows seated above the reeded marble case that houses the painted enamel dial enriched with swags of flowers. The sides bearing two large gilt bronze foliate scrolls that rise above the plinth with a beaded border and berry finials. Raised on knop feet [one replaced] 12 ins (30 cms) in height, 8 ins (20 cms) in width, 5 ins (13 cms) in depth.
An Onyx Marble, Cloisonné & Gilt Bronze Desk Clock signed F. BARBEDIENNE. The cloisonné dial decorated with flowers and foliage on a blue ground and inset with round convex enamelled numeral plaques. The movement striking a bell, stamped Medaille d`Or 1827 Paris and housed in a low rectangular striated marble case with a cloisonné band of undulating flowers running around the middle and gilt bronze bearded heads mounted at the corners. Standing on winged paw feet, 7½ ins (19 cms) in height, 14½ ins (37 cms) wide, 8 ins (20 cms) deep.
A Large & Decorative French Display Cabinet. The raised top above an egg & dart cornice; the three bevelled glass doors revealing a shelved interior; each with petalled beaded gilt brass borders and divided by reeded corner columns. The lower section centred by a bronze oval plaque depicting two cherubs; draped with floral festoons upon parquetry geometrically inlaid panels. Raised on tapered square feet with brass acanthus leaf appliqués and floral knop feet. 81 ins (206 cms) in height, 61 ins (155 cms) in width, 17 ins (43 cms) in depth.
A Splendid Sèvres Porcelain Clock. The painted enamel dial signed Julien Le Roy, Paris and having a laurel wreath border, surmounted by an urn issuing a bouquet of flowers flanked by two reclining female figures. The porcelain plaques with a turquoise ground painted with a figural scene flanked by two floral garlands enriched with gilt borders. The gilded bronze base cast with acanthus leaves and raised on lobed knop feet. 19 ins (49 cms) in height, 17 ins (44 cms) in width, 6½ ins (16.5 cms) in depth.
A 19th Century Ormolu Clock Set. The dial painted onto a large turquoise `Sèvres` porcelain globe centred by a painted angel and bordered by ornamental stylised gilt-work foliage with bejewelled red & pearl enamels. The surmounting gilt bronze bird and flanking female heads rising above the central pedestal inset with painted porcelain plaques. The base adorned with groups of musical instruments and a rayed face mask centring laurel festoons. Raised on scroll & pedestal feet and measuring 20 ins (51 cms) in height, 14½ ins (37 cms) in width. The two lidded urns enriched with figural scenes & scroll form handles, raised on pedestal bases; 12½ ins (32 cms) in height.
