Bronze frame is embellished with birds with nest to top and 4 spire finials. Sides have columnar design with faces of bearded men and scroll floral designs . 4 figural lions paw feet. Has white enamel face with black Arabic numerals and notches. Has black hour and minute hands. Movement holds impressed Boname mark "AM 805". 19th century. Measures 17 3/4" height x 12" width x 7" depth (44.5cm x 30.4cm x 17.8cm). Weighs 9.84 kilograms.
CHINESE KANGXI GILT BRONZE OF GREEN TARA KAUN YING - Antique Chinese Kangxi gilded bronze sculpture depicting a seated Green Tara Quan Yin. seated in lalitasana on a lotus blossom, with her pendant leg also extended on the lotus. She is clad in dhoti with an elaborate belt, with the sash draped over her arms, and adorned with jewelry and flanked by lotus blossoms on her shoulders. Attributed to Kangxi production (1662-1722) and holds the marks to verso. Measures 15 1/2" height x 10 1/2" width (39.3cm x 26.6cm). Total weight of 4931 grams.

After Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) French, a pair of bronze figures of gladiators depicting the retiarius and the murmillo, each bearing signature to the oval stepped base, (sword missing), 32cm high. (2). In Roman gladiatorial conquests, the retiarius or "Fisherman" was armed with a weighted net, trident and dagger and no armour, while the murmillo carried a shield and sword and was dressed in protective armour. Despite the seeming inequality in weaponry and protection, the odds were generally in favour of the retiarius. Guillemin exhibited the originals of these at the Paris Salon in 1872.
