AFTER FREDERIC REMINGTON (AMERICAN, 1861-1909); A BRONZE EQUESTRIAN GROUP OF THE BRONCO BUSTERMid-20th CenturyCast with signature and numbered 12/100, 56.5cm highThe Bronco Buster is one of Remington’s most iconic sculptures and his first. The production of this bronze was highly controlled from its initial registration in October 1895 with two foundries, the Henry Bonnard Bronze Company and later the Roman Bronze Works clearly marking and numbering his work. After his death his wife oversaw the production of some moulds, the last one being numbered 214 in 1918. The copyright expired in the 1960s.
DAVID WYNNE OBE (1926-2014); A BRONZE PORTRAIT BUST OF LORD BADEN-POWELLCast with a signature DAVID WYNNE and numbered 6/6, mounted on a tapering black marble plinth, engraved ‘CHIEF SCOUT OF THE WORLD’ and to the opposing side ‘LORD BADEN-POWELL OF GILWELL’, 91cm highDuring his prodigious career as a sculptor, David Wynne attracted a number of prestigious patrons, from The Beatles to Prince Charles, together with notable landmark sculptures, including the Boy with a Dolphin (1974) on the Chelsea Embankment to the central section of the Queen Elizabeth Gate, Hyde Park, made to commemorate the Queen Mother’s 90th birthday in 1990. Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941), was the the founder of the Scout Movement, having become a national hero during in the Boer War 1899-1900 and writing the Guide to Scouting for the military. This was later published in 1908 and the inspirational force for young boys and later girls. Condition report: A few small chips to the bottom edges of the base. Some verdi gris in areas to the patinated neck tie - as can be seen from the images. Recesses with dirt and dust, as to be expected.
JEAN DIDIER DEBUT (FRENCH, 1824-1893); A BRONZE FISHERMANModelled standing on the bow of the boat with net, cast signature ‘Debut’, 42.5cm highCondition report: Scuffs and scratches to the patination, notably to the front hand and various areas, notably some areas of the legs and feet. The net is slightly loose.
AN AUSTRIAN COLD-PAINTED BRONZE OF A WOODCOCKPossibly by Franz Xavier Bergman, Early 20th CenturyWith an indistinct mark to the underside, possibly a B within an amphora, 30cm long, approx; 21.5cm highCondition report: Various chips to the paintwork overall, notably to the beak, legs, feet and tail, and areas of the back in places, also worn paint to one eye. Some areas of paint loss reveal a gilt surface beneath in places. Minor spots of verdi-gris to one of the legs. Some areas of paint possibly refreshed. The bird is unable to stand up.

DEMETRE CHIPARUS (ROMANIAN, 1886-1947); A COLD PAINTED BRONZE GROUP ENTITLED ‘ACCIDENT DE CHASSE’Modelled as a girl bandaging a wounded dog’s leg, inscribed to the cast ‘D.H. Chiparus’, mounted on a verde antico marble base with plaque engraved ‘ACCIDENT de CHASSE PAR D.H.CHIPARUS (Récompensé au Salon)’, 62.5cm wide; 28cm deep;; 34cm highCondition report: Overall in good condition. Wear and rubbing to some areas commensurate with age and handling. Dirt and dust to the recesses. A few small chips to the marble at the extremities.
AFTER DOMINIQUE ALONZO, BRONZE CAST FIGURE OF A DANCER, ON MARBLE BASE20th CenturyAn Art Deco style patinated cast bronze figure of a female dancer or rhythmic gymnast, balancing on one foot but lackng her hoop, with cast signature 'D. Alonzo' and French Foundry stamp, raised on a marble and slate circular plinth, 49 cm highCondition Report:No significant damage seen. Small abrasions to the base at the edges.Model missing the hoop.
A PAIR OF RESTAURATION GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE SIX-LIGHT CANDELABRA (2)Each fluted column with acanthus leaf and lions’ paw triform stepped base, 62 cm high.Condition Report:Some branches loose. Scratches marks and wear consistent with age and use. Some tarnishing and rubbing to the gilding.
A SET OF FIVE GILT- BRONZE FIVE LIGHT WALL APPLIQUÉSEarly 20th CenturyEach acanthus scroll arm issuing from a strap-work backplate, terminating in a central up-light with a further four scroll fitments, 80cm high overall Condition report: Originally probably fitted with glass flambeau shades. Wear to the gilding - some quite considerable, and tarnishing as to expected, inevitable scuffs, scratches and marks commensurate with wear, use and age. There are a few dents in areas. Some areas of verdi gris. Five lights per light, consisting of a central fitment and four coming off scrolling arms. Most components are now rather loose and require tightening, some lights have swung round to point up or down. The lights are substantial, made for electricity. Please see extra images, which shows each wall applique. The arms are arranged centrally for 3 of the lights and 2 the arms are arranged to the one side.
A PAIR OF FRENCH RESTAURATION STYLE GILT BRONZE TABLE LAMPS (2)Late 20th CenturyWith fluted tapering columns, on bases cast with trailing flowers and oak leaf decoration, fitted for electricity, 39 cm high.Condition Report:Overall condition is very good with on light marks and scratches. Loss of some gilding to both and one has a 1mm spot to the base.
AFTER GUILLAUME COUSTOU THE ELDER (1677-1746); A PAIR OF BRONZE MODELS OF THE MARLY HORSES (2)Early 20th CenturyThe larger, 44cm high Condition report: Reins to both require reattaching to the one side. The one figure holding a stick which is bent. Both with rubbing to the patina, dirt and dust with some scuffs and scratches commensurate with use and age.
AN EMPIRE REVIVAL GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE EIGHT-LIGHT CHANDELIERLate 19th CenturyThe dished base mounted with laurel wreaths and Apollo chariots, 62cm wide; 87cm high approx Condition report: Will require some tidying up - some of the chains are twisted and arms maybe in need of tightening. General wear, scuffing, tarnishing commiserate with use and age. This is not fitted for electricity and the wires would need to run along the outside of the candlearms.
A FRENCH GILT-BRONZE MOUNTED PARIS PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCKLate 19th / Early 20th CenturyThe case surmounted by a seated cherub with flower filled basket, the winged putti painted dial with Roman hours, the twin train drum barrel movement with strike on bell stamped JAPY FRERES and numbered 522, 28.5cm wide; 40cm high.Condition report: Degradation to the bronze figure, particularly to the reverse (see image). General loss of gilding to the case throughout. Plaques in good order but some have slipped slightly. The decoration above the front plaque has been knocked off centre slightly. We do not guarantee the working order of this timepiece. No key or pendulum.

A GILT-BRONZE MOUNTED VARIEGATED BLACK MARBLE PEDESTAL COLUMN20th CenturyWith octagonal platform above a Corinthian capital and octagonal plinth, 33cm wide; 120.5cm highCondition Report:Generally in very good order with nibbles to the edges and base. Some wear to the base where the column meets the marble and has moved over time but could be polished out. Metal with mild tarnishing, dirt and dust to the recesses. The base is 32cm wide The column does move around a little but it’s very mild and probably could be tighten from the underside. See images.
"Femme Oriental" Car Mascot by Henri Fugere (1872-1944). French circa 1910, signed, nickel plated bronze, MMA foundry mark, unmounted, 16.5cm high.Condition Report: Wear commensurate with age and use, corrosion spots to the nickel plating in places, especially the folds of the dress and top of the base. Crack to the elbow of right arm. Foundry Mark on the back of the base, signature to the top of the base.
