Worthy of notice are the fine depiction of the flowing robes – recalling the Indian sculptural tradition of Amaravati and Nagajunakonda –, the flaming ornament decorating the hair, and the fixed open eyes, all characteristics typical of the period in exam, or perhaps even of an earlier one. For a similar item refer to the one owned by the Los Angeles Museum of Art (M.79.152.267) and the one owned by the Brooklyn Museum. . Cm 9,50 x 13,00.
