An Indian painting of the Qutub Minar, opaque watercolour on paper, 19th Century, 37.5cm high x 24cm wide Notes: the building was commissioned by Qutb Ud Din Aibak, the first Muslim Sultan of Delhi, and was completed by his successor Iltumish. The tower was used as a minaret from where the call to prayers could be issued. The building was started in 1138 and the last section of the tower was added in 1368 Provenance: From the art collection at the former St Gabriel's College, Camberwell. St Gabriel's was a Church of England teacher training college, founded in 1899 and closed in 1978. Its Art Department attracted talented teachers and artists whose vocation was to inspire young teachers through studying and imitating the work of great artists. The paintings and drawings in this collection were collected by the College's staff through donations and purchases during the interwar and post-war periods.After the College's closure, the collection was transferred to the ownership of an educational trust and until recently loaned to Goldsmith's University of London. CONDITION REPORT: creasing and wear to edges, one 7cm tear to right hand side, also staining to edges, slight rucking in places, othwerwise image is in good order, this picture has not been examined out of the frame, it is mounted to the back with a slip surround

Barber, Winster, N 439, the dial with black Roman numerals, spade hands and decorated with a hunting scene to the surround, the silver pair-case hallmarked on both inner and outer for London, 1782, with the case maker's initials I.W, diameter 50mm. * Biography Jonas Barber of Winster was a member of the renowned clock making family and is regarded as one of the greatest of the Cumbrian clock and watchmakers.

His son, also James, is known to have been working at 12, Nassau Street from circa 1868.
A Regency giltwood and gesso circular convex girandole mirror:, the plate within gilt and ebonised rope pattern framing, foliate slip and moulded and reeded surround with ball ornament, having twin fluted candle branches with lion's masks hung with chains and with a foliate background, 79cm (2ft 7in) x 58cm (1ft 10 3/4in).

The reverse inscribed Cooke, Wexford, Croke Cup Hurling 1904, the obverse with a pierced harp centre and Celtic design surround, inscribed at base Connradh Laighean, by Hopkins & Hopkins, Dublin, 9ct gold. Good & Scarce. (1). Wexford were beaten by Dublin with a scoreline of 4-08 to 1-06. Kilkenny eventually defeated Dublin in the final. €500-700
