A 19th Century satinwood, tulipwood crossbanded and inlaid oval Pembroke table:, bordered with boxwood and ebony lines, the hinged top with a moulded edge, having a central oval rosewood panel within a tulipwood crossbanded oval surround with stylised foliate designs, fitted with a drawer to the frieze on square tapered legs, terminating in brass cappings and castors, the top 74.5cm (2ft 5 1/4in) x 96cm (3ft 1 3/4in) extended.

Schooc, Amsterdam, a walnut marquetry longcase clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell, the eleven-inch square brass dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, outer Arabic five-minute numerals and 'meeting arrow-head' half-hour markings, with engraved scroll decoration to each side of the dial between wheat-ear border engraving, the matted dial centre with ringed winding holes, a subsidiary seconds dial and a date aperture with engraved surround, with blued steel hands and cast-brass female-head spandrels to the four corners, signed to the lower Fran. Schooc, Amsterdam, the walnut case decorated with marquetry inlay depicting an urn with flowers to the trunk door, a symmetrical design to the base and floral decoration to the caddy top, with further inlaid decoration through-out, the hood having three-quarter columns with cast-brass capitals, standing on bracket feet, height 232cm.
An 18th Century walnut and crossbanded swing frame toilet mirror:, the plate within a moulded surround, having later uprights, the base with a sloping hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior with four small drawers about a central open recess, having a cushion frieze drawer below, on ogee bracket feet, 40cm (1ft 3 3/4in) wide.
[BURNS STEPHEN]: (1921-1943) British Flight Sergeant, Rear Gunner of Lancaster ED936/G AJ-H of 617 Squadron on the Dambusters Raid, 16th May 1943. A pair of flying goggles used by Burns during World War II, the Mark IIIA goggles issued by the Air Ministry and featuring perspex lenses contained in a painted brass surround, with a central hinge and dark brown leather nose cover, also with ram air and exhaust vents (slightly damaged). The goggles have a brown felt backing and the adjustable leather and elastic strap is still present. With the Air Ministry stamp and serial numbers 22C/62 88926/39 to the strap. Some age wear, G Provenance: Accompanied by a copy of a typed inventory of the Burns Archive prepared by a previous owner in 2001 when he acquired the material from Dorothy Mundon, the sister of Stephen Burns. The present goggles are listed on the inventory, and also included in the lot is a copy of a handwritten letter from Mundon to the previous owner explaining that she has been through the inventory and that it is correct.

Great Western Railway 12 inch dial Rosewood cased fusee drop dial clock circa 1850. The quality English fusee movement in fully overhauled condition has rectangular plates with shaped shoulders, which are held together by turned and shaped pillars. The Rosewood case has Brass and ebony inlay with an integral drop to the surround and is of typical early 19th century Salt Box design with one side door and a bottom door secured by a brass lock. The enamel screen printed iron dial with Roman numerals and GWR is in good condition, this process was used in the 1920's and was short lived. This clock is featured in the Railway Clock book by Ian Lyman Page 83 Fig 3.89 and was sold by the London auction house Bonham's sometime in the 1980's. One of only 4 known survivors of this type of clock and all four show detail differences, so this one is probably unique.
An early 19th Century carved ivory rectangular box with gold mounts, the hinged lid opening to reveal a velvet-lined interior set with a Bennett Greenwich thermometer, the other a lock of hair within a gold framed case inscribed "Caroline Feb 16 1819, 6.8 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Ivory case has some blemishes and surface scratches. One side has some damage to the hinge area and has been reglued. There are areas of chipping, especially along the gold mounts. It is not known whether or not the thermometer is working, but assume not due to the gaps in the liquid. There are some chips to the interior of the case. Dirt. Discolouration throughout. The top of the thermometer surround has two pins missing. The ivory side containing the lock of hair has had a repair to the ivory frame in one corner. General wear and tear.
