A pair of Spode topographical plates, circa 1820, one inscribed `Bowland Abbey`, both inscribed Blades, London`, 22.5cm (2) John Blades was listed in London Directories between 1800 and 1830 as a glass manufacturer of 5 Ludgate Hill. He may, in addition to being a customer, have been one of Spode`s suppliers for glass. Paper label: Genuine old W Salt Antique Galleries, Buxton `a pair of Spode plates` with price code.
