A rare pair of Copeland Spode for Waring and Gillow, London, large slop pails and liners Each of cylindrical form decorated in polychrome colours with exotic birds perched amongst flowering plants complete with bell shape covers similarly decorated and original raffia wrapped handles, each with black printed marks Copeland late Spode, England, Waring and Gillows Ltd, Oxford Street, London. 28cms high excluding handle, 28cms diameter. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1758: the fist inner liner overall surface crazing minor rubbing to the gilt rim, polychrome decoration good condition, bucket, overall surface crazing minor rubbing to the gilt rim raffia handle good condition for age, minor rubbing to the gilt rim on the handle, the handles - paint flaking to the green shaped rock on the top of the left hand branch to which the bird is sitting, paint loss approximately 2 x 1cm and a smaller paint flake, overall surface crazing to the body. Second pale - the liner, overall surface crazing minor rubbing to the gilt rim, decoration good condition, the bucket, minor rubbing to the gilt rim, overall surface crazing, minor rubbing to some of the outline of the decoration of the peacock, otherwise decoration good for age, raffia handle good for age, rubbing to the gilt rim of the handles minor.

A Copeland Spode Italian pattern dinner service Condition Report: 12 dinner plates - Fair. 12 small plates (3 with late marks) - Three have small chips with staining to chips. 11 soup bowls - Fair, some lightly crazed. 14 side plates (3 with late black printed marks) - Fair, some lightly crazed. Four square tureens and three covers - One tureen has slight staining to foot and rim. One tureen badly cracked, crazed and stained. Small meat dish - Medium chip under rim. Medium meat dish - Wear under and scratches to surface. Pair large meat dishes - One small chip to one. Sauceboat and two stands - Fair. Two sauceboats and a jug with late marks - Good. Willow pattern tureen and cover - Chips to rim, stained crack to cover. 2 Willow pattern bowls - Good. Japanese blue and white plate - Two small chips to rim, bad star crack to centre. Four polychrome Spode plates - One heavily repaired with rivets, one chipped, one with worn enamels.
A quantity of Spode Italian pattern tea and dinner wares and a Sydenham Ironstone jug Condition Report: Lot 381: Large jug - chips, cracks and bad firing blemish to interior. All of the Spode Italian pattern items in this lot are in good condition, any light scratches or wear are in line with age and usage.
A pair of 19th Century Spode cylindrical vases on stands Decorated in gilt above a hand painted still life design with detachable bases having gilt and Imari style decoration, each with painted Spode marks and numbered 409 to base, height including bases 14cm. CONDITION REPORT: one with small flat chip to foot rim and star crack to base second interior restored and base with many breaks, each with rubbing to gilding
John & Edward Baddeley 1784 - 1806 - An extensive cream coloured earthenware tea and coffee service decorated with an enamelled trompe l'oeil bamboo border and gilding, c. 1805, some pieces impressed 'IEB' and a few impressed Spode comprising: 29 coffee cans, 32 tea cups(two slightly different shapes), teapot and stand, covered sugar, milk jug, 2 slop bowls, 42 saucers, 12 bowls of varying sizes, 12 plates x 18.5 cm dia., 11 plates x 17 cm dia. NB: An example of the teapot and stand is in the V&A collection Condition Report Difficult to give a report - some crazing overall, stains to cups and some gilding loss. The damaged items are - small chip to teapot spout and small chip to underside of the rim. Two 18.5 cm plates cracked.
A quantity of ceramics to include: a Poole Delphis shallow bowl, a Copeland Spode Italian blue and white large jug, a square Dresden dish with hand painted flowers and pierced rim, a Belleek limited edition 1978 Leaping Salmon Christmas plate and a Carltonware Australian design leaf bowl, various sizes.
