A SET OF SIX EARLY 19TH CENTURY SPODE TEA CUPS AND SEVEN MATCHING SAUCERS, decorated in the Imari palette with an arched roof building in a garden, pieces marked 'SPODE' in iron red, together with an early 19th Century Spode tea cup, pattern No.868 and three early 19th Century porcelain dessert plates, Imari vase of flowers decoration, approximate diameter 21cm (17) Condition Report - Six saucers are in good condition and one has a small firing fault on the underside of the rim, there is also some light scratching and wear to the gilding. Four cups are in good condition other than light wear to the gilding, one has a pale blue patch in the glaze to the interior and one cup has a hairline crack, not very visible even under UV light. The other cup that does'nt belong to the set also sounds as though there may be a hairline but we couln't find one even under UV light. All cups have very light wear to gilding especially to the handles. the three plates are unmarked, all seem to be in good condition and have a small amount of wear to the gilding.

Six ceramic figures with three Spode examples comprising 'Lily', 'Joanna' and 'Simon', two Nao clowns with instruments (both af) and a Royal Doulton 'Scorpio' figure, also two unmarked Continental figures, the larger modelled after Count Bruhl's Tailor (both badly af) (6).Additional InformationThe Nao clown with accordion left hand af, loss to finger and other cracked fingers. Also a loose piece to interior. The other clown has had the head off and crudely re-glued. Some loose pieces to the interior. The other four figures appear to be ok. The model after Bruhls Taylor badly af, lost his entire right arm, Goat has lost both ears as has the head which has been crudely re-glued. Further losses and damage throughout, the small maid has lost her entire right arm. Further heavy damage and losses.

One heavily crazed, one with 5cm firing crack to lid interior, all with fritting, some small chips and nibbles to interior and lower section rims, one badly cracked in numerous places, another with small chip to rim and a further example with another chip to lower section corner.
