A Late XIX/Early XX Century Spode Porcelain Part Dinner Service, the fluted borders decorated in dark blue and gilt with scrolls and foliage, each with crest 'Viveut Vivas', printed marks, comprising: nine soup bowls, 24cm diameter, eight dinner plates, 25cm diameter and eleven dessert plates, 21cm diameter. Tyg - with old stapled repaired handle. Figural dish and cover - with rubbing. Figure astride a goat with numerous losses and chips throughout. Liverpool bowl - with numerous chips to the rim. Floral painted dish with a hairline crack, flea bit chips and paint scratches. Spode plate - paint scratches and rubbing. Twin-handled vase with glaze loss to the rim and crazing.
British Arctic Expedition of 1875-76.- Fulford (Reginald Baldwin, naval officer and Arctic Explorer, 1851-86) Tea cup and saucer and coffee cup and saucer used in the British Arctic Expedition, Copeland Spode china cups and saucers made for Sir George Nares' Arctic Expedition of 1875, white glazed and transfer-printed in blue with an elaborate rope border and the badge of the expedition - a polar bear within a garter, garter inscribed "Arctic Expedition 1875", base printed "Discovery", three anchors printed on underside of the rim, impressed "Copeland" on base of saucers, slightly crazed, coffee cup with small crack, tea saucer width 172mm., tea cup height 90mm., coffee saucer width 152mm., coffee cup 70mm., [1875 (4 pieces).
