A good and large collection of Copeland Spode's Italian pattern blue and white transfer printed ware - early to late 20th century, including three graduated punch bowls, 17.5cm, 20cm and 24cm diameter; a coffee pot; a teapot; four graduated jugs, the smallest 7cm high, the largest 13.5cm high; a sauce jug; a biscuit barrel with rattan handle; two sugar bowls; a late 20th century clock with quartz movement, 26cm diameter; a pair of salad bowls, 24cm diameter; a divided preserve and butter dish; various square and oblong serving dishes; plates, bowls; tea and coffee cups and saucers; etc; plus a Shire Books 'Spode' volume, by Robert Copeland. (45) * Condition: Generally in good condition, with no faults with the exception of:- 25cm dinner plate: Extensive glaze scratching- 16.5cm side plate: Tiny glaze chip to rim.- 15cm saucer: Star crack to base.- 24.3cm salad bowls: One with some glaze crazing to exterior. The other with one pinhead size glaze frit to rim.- 21cm square serving bowl: Glaze crazing to base with some browned discolouration- 19cm shallow square serving dish: Some glaze scratching to interior (not unsightly) and glaze wear to edges of base.- 26cm oblong platter: A little glaze scratching to upper surface and edges of base from use.- Coffee can: Glaze crazing.- Two-handled covered soup bowl: Some glaze crazing with browned discolouration to the bowl.
