A pair of Spode pierced porcelain chestnut baskets and matching stands of oval form, each decorated with an ornithological specimen within a pea green and gilt border, stands 23cm long, incised 'No.' with puce '2114', 'Spode' and respectively 'Redstart', 'Dartford Warbler', 'Pied Flycatcher' and 'Stonechat', circa 1820, the latter broken and glued, some glaze wear to stands.
