(23.5cm.) long. * This type of shaped chamber pot was named after the French Jesuit priest Father Bourdalou, who, at the time of Louis XIV, preached such interminably long sermons that ladies began to bring these pots into church concealed in their muffs, so that they could be secretly used in emergency circumstances under their wide dresses.
