Decauville À Paris`, the engine turned gilt dial similarly inscribed, framed by a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and a cast gilt flowerhead surround, the urn surmount issuing three spiralled glass `water` rods, running to three silvered scallop shells, the rectangular case with gilt columns flanking a gilt mask issuing a further glass rod, above a rectangular pierced Gothic arch base enclosing a cut glass reservoir, on gilt griffin feet, height approx 48cm, with pendulum and key.

Mr. Braddon was a Judge in the Honourable East India Company during the 1830’s. He acquired the clock on his retirement and brought it back to Britain, it has been in the family ever since.

An unusual mantel clock with arched brass dial signed T Agius Melitae (Malta) fixed to a posted iron frame with brassed sheet side and rear covers, sitting on a wooden base with arcaded carving to the sides. The dial has a five sided arch and it is engraved all over with foliage, animals and birds and baskets of fruit and has an applied engraved chapter ring engraved with the above name. The case now contains a 19c British double fusee bracket clock movement rack striking on a bell, 13"" tall overall.
An early 19c eight day longcase movement with associated late 18c 12"" arched brass dial signed Frewin, Hereford with engraved dial centre, female head spandrels and a Tempus Fugit boss in the arch. The movement is of standard four pillar rack striking pattern with anchor escapement. It is contained in an early 19c oak and mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and fluted columns flanking the dial. The trunk has fluted quarter columns and a short trunk door with fixed panel below. The door has a central shell inlay and it and the fixed panel have mahogany edge crossbanding. The base has an applied rectangular panel and bracket feet, 86"" tall overall.
A mid 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12"" arched brass dial signed David Rivers, London and having a matted dial centre, scroll spandrels, date and seconds rings and a strike/silent in the arch (disconnected). The five pillar movement has rack strike and anchor escapement and the original bell strike has been converted to a gong in the back of the case. It is contained in a black lacquered case with chinoiserie decoration, the arched hood is surmounted by a pagoda top and has attached columns flanking the dial. The long arched trunk door has chinoiserie decoration of pagodas and trees and at the base a horseman. The base panel shows two lions and the base has a double plinth, 91"" tall overall.
