An unusual 18th century vernacular gothic Windsor armchair , the back and arms principally in yew wood, the central pierced splat with pointed apertures framed within a pointed arch,, united by further pierced supports before simple tapering arms with swept supports above a pointed saddled elm seat, with a fluted border, raised on cabriole legs united by hay rake stretchers, 107 cm high, 53 cm wide (maximum) seat height 47 cm. The going barrel is fully wound. Pendulum swings for a short period and stops. Movement needs a service. Part of the late Eric Morton clock collection.

~ A Green Chinoiserie Eight Day Longcase Clock with Rocking Father of Time Automata, signed Edward Greatrex, Birmingham, circa 1750, green chinoiserie case with gilt painted floral decoration, trunk dial with oriental scenes depicting a pagoda, boats and figures, 14-1/4-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring signed, dial arch with a rocking ''Father of Time'' aperture, dial centre with a lunar scale and date aperture, four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, 240cm high see illustration 05.06.19. Case is nicely aged throughout, gilt painted scenes are discoloured, case with cracks, chips and rubbing in parts, some surfaces feel dry and some shrinkage to the paint, door mouldings with splits, base with scuff marks, dial is slightly discoloured, movement is clean, with two weights and a pendulum.

Hood right hand side sound fret with one small piece of fret missing, case sides with small staining marks, case with scratches and dents in parts, dial is slightly discoloured, movement plates are dirty and needs a service.

False pendulum and chamfered date aperture with matted brass centre and silvered name plate. The triple fusee movement, Chain driven with anchor escapement,four cannon pillars. Quarter striking Whittington tune on a nest of 8 silvered bells,hourly strike on a large single bell. Heavily engraved rear plate throughout,centred William Hughes, Holborn, with matching engraved pendulum bob. 43cm x 24cm x 18cm.

Kazak prayer rug, south west Caucasus, early 20th century, 6ft. 3in. X 3ft. 11in. 1.91m. X 1.20m. Dated 1333 (AH) [1914 AD] above the prayer arch. Overall wear, slightly heavier in some places; losses to ends. Red field with large ivory rectangular medallion at the top of the prayer arch; hooked medallions and rosettes in the field; pale yellow conjoined arrowhead main border.
Dokhtar-e-Qazi Timuri Baluch prayer rug, west Afghanistan, early 20th century, 4ft. 2in. X 3ft. 1in. 1.27m. X 0.94m. Some wear in places with holes to left side lower end; 'bites' and wear to right side; added flatweave ends. Colourful small medallions in the mihrab and in the top corner panels; light blue spandrels above the prayer arch. Lustrous wool and soft handle.
Tabriz prayer rug, north west Persia, circa 1940s-50s, 6ft. 8in. X 3ft. 4in. 2.03m. X 1.32m. Very small areas of slight wear; small repair; faint surface marks. Pale gold mihrab with a column to each side supporting the arch with hanging lamp; a panel of flowering plants at the base. Pale blue top spandrels; wide main border of large medallions with pale blue details. Soft palette.
Two rugs, first half 20th century, the first: an Ersari Turkmen prayer rug, north east Afghanistan, 3ft. 2in. X 2ft. 6in. 0.97m. X 0.76m. Crease marks in places; slight loss to top end. The mihrab with two vertical rows of five guls and a single gul in the prayer arch; multiple borders. The second, Baluchi rug fragment, Khorasan, north east Persia, 4ft. 8in. X 3ft. 1in. 1.42m. X 0.94m. Overall wear and corrosion. Reduced in length by horizontal cut at the lower end;' fabric tape in places verso. (2)
