Early French Platform Automaton of a Spanish Guitar Player, c. 1875 With French bisque head, closed mouth, fixed blue threaded eyes, feathered brows, pierced-in ears, original blonde mohair wig, bisque hands, green-painted platform base with 2 3/4 in. (7 cm) spoked red lacquered rear wheels and 1 in. (2.5 cm) off-centre front wheel, going-barrel motor with crank causing lady to turn her head and strum guitar, in original satin costume with green lace-trimmed skirt and matching headdress, height 12 in. (30 cm), platform 6 1/2 x 3 3/8 in. (16 x 8.5 cm). Good working condition. Puppenautomat "Spanische Gitarristin", um 1875 Mit französischem Biskuitporzellankopf, geschlossenem Mund, feststehenden blauen Augen, blonder Mohairperücke, Händen aus Biskuitporzellan, in Original-Satinkostüm mit Spitzen, passendem Kopfschmuck, auf Metallplattform auf 3 gußeisernen Speichenrädern, Federwerk und Mechanik unter der Plattform.
