ORIGINAL JOY DIVISION SHERGOLD MARATHON CUSTOM 6 STRING BASS GUITAR AND CASE. This guitar was used extensively when recording "Closer" and includes its original black flight case."My second real guitar. Bought from Mameloks Music Shop on Deansgate, Manchester for £149 (on Barney’s recommendation) He said it would suit the way I played. He was absolutely correct and I wrote nearly all of CLOSER’S Basslines on it. This and The Clone Theory Pedal (another Barney recommendation) became MY sound."
ANTON CORBIJN ATMOSPHERE VIDEO PROP IAN CURTIS ON STAGE WITH GUITAR. Framed, to measure approx 108 x 157.5cm."It was a wonderful concept for a video. The bleakness of the beaches in black and white is very reminiscent of the feel of the Group. The mystery and power of the small people carrying the huge gravity of the Group and it's music, it felt like a huge challenge was being overcome by us all. Anton loved Joy Division often saying that without us he would never have moved to England to concentrate on his Art. Ian was a God to him, as he was to all of us!"
DURUTTI COLUMN - THE RETURN OF THE DURUTTI COLUMN - SANDPAPER SLEEVE LP MADE BY JD BAND MEMBERS. The record is in VG+ condition with some light scuff marks on side 2. Complete with the rare flexi in superb Ex condition. The sleeve is in Ex condition with a little lifting to the sandpaper on the top right corner (front)."I actually made this sleeve. We were paid 50p for making a hundred. We had to stick the sandpaper on and then spray a stencil for the title. It was murder really hard work ruined your skin. We thought it would be easy after doing all those IDEAL FOR LIVINGS! Great Album this one. I had one of the best compliments I ever had from Vinnie Riley. He said “I wish I could play guitar the way you play 6 string Bass!” I thought he was joking! Turns out he wasn’t ….a lovely man. Very talented and underrated."

I did not want to buy the Ian Curtis NME in 1980, but in the end could not resist. Wrapped by a mate of mine who was a comic collector to protect it. He said “This will be very, very special in years to come!” It was such a terrible, sad thing to see. I was heartbroken. I was very flattered after doing the 'Unknown Pleasures - Inside Joy Division' book that NME decided to feature it so much. A great compliment to all of us. Even stranger to see this nearly 40 years later. I feel very proud to be an Ambassador for both Joy Division, New Order and Manchester even after all this time."
ORIGINAL JOY DIVISION YAMAHA SUNBURST BB1200 BASS GUITAR . Complete with rectangular hard case."One of my first ‘Proper’ guitars. Used in the last days of Joy Division and in New Order and seen in the ‘CONFUSION’ video. A great instrument, but not as versatile as the BB1200S. As soon as I heard an ‘S’ I had to have one. This has an interesting history. Borrowed off me by Barney then left in his marital home in Worsley when he moved out when his marriage ended. Sue his ex-wife got rid of it quite recently on E-Bay. The guy who bought it found a picture of me in the lining of the case and contacted me to see if the guitar was mine. On hearing the story he insisted I had it back! Such a wonderful thought.... I was flabbergasted. A rare occurrence. I was very grateful. The two pickups give it a bright jazzy sound which I do not like. Not as good as a Rickenbacker copy for banging into spitting Punk’s ears, but needs must!"
JOY DIVISION VINYL PACKAGE. To include sealed copies of Unknown Pleasures and Closer from 2007, a sealed 2014 Record Store Day release of Ideal for Living, a Sounds "Leave it out John" compilation (DIY 1 with booklet - Ex+/Ex) and a spare sleeve for She's Lost Control (Facus 2)."Two great Records together. The Sounds 'Leave it out John' was a collection for would be musicians to play along to. Each one, there were 5, had an element missing, Vocals, Bass, Keyboard, guitar or drums. Maracas are missing on all of them!"
