Selcol - A boxed vintage Selcol 'Elvis Presley' Guitar. This British made plastic guitar finished in brown and cream, comes in its original box and is also presented with its plastic Guitar Auto Chord tuner and instruction book. The guitar appears to be in Excellent condition with its Selcol label inside and has a small crack to one of the string tuners. The box is has its original label and appears to be in Good overall condition with some stains, storage wear and tearing.
Ian Scott Anderson autograph mounted with colour photo to an overall size of 18 x 12 inches. Scottish-born musician, singer and songwriter best known for his work as the lead vocalist, flautist and acoustic guitarist of British rock band Jethro Tull. Anderson is a multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboards, bass guitar, bouzouki, balalaika, saxophone, harmonica, and a variety of whistles. His solo work began with the 1983 album Walk into Light, and since then he has released another five works, including the sequel to the Jethro Tull album Thick as a Brick (1972) in 2012, entitled Thick as a Brick 2. The Estate of Peter Wyngarde - a Fender Stratocaster style guitar body, bearing an autograph reading ' To Peter, Best Wishes, Freddie Mercury '. The guitar appearing to be that of a Squier (or similar) and is signed in black marker to the front. AF - some paint chipping and general wear and tear present. Wyngarde was a known acquaintance of Mercury - appearing in Flash Gordon, which Queen recorded the soundtrack for in 1980. Note; we are unable to verify the autograph as authentic, and as such buyers are reminded for the express need to satisfy themselves as to authenticity prior to bidding, irrespective of any description. Three plain black cassette tapes, with contents as follows: A black cassette tape without branding, bearing a sticker with handwritten '#1', containing approximately four minutes worth of audio recordings of John Lennon performing with an acoustic guitar circa 1969. Contents include Lennon performing a possibly unreleased track with prominent lyrics 'The Thrill Has Gone Away', before launching into 'That'll Be The Day' with stops and restarts, A black cassette without branding, bearing a sticker to read 'Demo', containing approximately four minutes worth of audio recordings of John Lennon performing with an acoustic guitar circa 1969. Lennon starts and stops in first minute, playing some chords from 'I Don't Want To Be A Soldier', before going on to work his way through a very raw version of the verses from 'I Found Out', finishing with more guitar work with some similarities to 'I Want You', A black cassette without branding containing approximately three minutes worth of audio recordings of John Lennon performing with an acoustic guitar circa 1969. The vocal recording is faint, though Lennon seems to be singing 'I'm a man' with scat style singing filling the gaps where he clearly hadn't yet written lyrics, later the pace slows before the recording is cut off abruptly. Note this lot is sold as an artefact and no copyright (s) are included in this sale.
