Of Beatles Interest - an original 1950s Gallotone 'Champion' 3/4 size acoustic guitar, identical in make and model to that of the one owned and played by John Lennon - his first guitar. Notable as being played by Lennon at the Woolton Fete in July 1957, the day he first met Paul McCartney. Sunburst painted body, with white painted edge and a pressed steel plate and fixed wooden bridge. Original tuners. Physically in good condition with a low action and easily playable. Cosmetically has some signs of wear, commensurate with age. Lacking label to interior. Special piece of Beatles related memorabilia.

A pair of metal framed sunglasses, with TCB logo to temples and 'EP' to bridge. Pink-tinted, non-prescription lenses. 'DBR' is etched into the inner temple tips. Included is a 1992 signed letter of provenance from the original owner Sheri Lacker, detailing how they were gifted the glasses and a guitar from Elvis. Also with printed image of Elvis wearing the glasses.
A guitar case c early 1970s possible by Anvil owned and used by legendary guitarist Albert Lee during his time touring with Joe Cocker's 'Cock and Bull' (1974/5), Emmy Lou Harris (1976/77) and Eric Clapton (1979-1984) - with 'Duck Bros' stencilled on the case from that period. With a picture of Albert with the case and a signed letter of provenance.

A 1952/53 Gibson Les Paul model, in gold/natural finish, single cutaway mahogany body with maple top, bound mahogany neck, twenty-two fret rosewood fingerboard with crown inlays, headstock facia with Les Paul MODEL, one P-90 single coil pickup, one single coil pickup, one humbacking pickup, six rotary controls, toggle switch, pick-up selector switch, metal bridge with Bigsby tremolo tailpiece; and an original brown Lifton hardshell contour case painted green with pink plush lining.Provenance: originally purchased c 1969/1970 from a guitar dealer in the San Francisco area. The previous owner spent time in the Bay Area during the period and on occasion jammed with some of the bands of the period inc Big Brother, Quicksilver Messenger Service etc. Previously offered in Cooper/Ted Owen sales and with a copy of the original 2006 catalogue included.
A multi-coloured guitar strap that's been personally owned and used by Eric Clapton. The guitar strap was attached to one of Clapton's Fender Stratocaster guitars that he later gave to a tour crew member, Tommy Mann, in exchange that Mann would donate money to charity. Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Tommy Mann, detailing how he worked as a member of the production crew on an Eric Clapton tour and made a charitable donation to purchase the guitar (see next lot) and strap from Eric Clapton.
