Interesting Fender Custom Telecaster electric guitar, made in USA, with parts appearing to date to 1960, ser. no. 5xxx6; Body: sunburst, aged refinish, repaired and plugged holes beneath the pickguard, cracking to binding - probably caused by paint stripper; Neck: maple with no cap - unusual for the year, neck refinished and looks to have some age with wear visible under the lacquer on the back, some wear to the first five frets on the fretboard, truss adjustment screw has sunk approximately 5mm into the neck, Fender decal not original; Electrics: working, volume pot replaced, tone pot dating to 1960, capacitor replaced, cloth wiring to the pickups which appear to be of period; Hardware: replaced and aged tuners, refret, volume and tone knobs later, saddle adjustment screws incorrect, bridge plate doesn't appear to have much age, neck plate with serial number showing at the bottom, scratchplate appears old with a yellow/green appearance to the front and grey/green appearance to the back; Case: later Fender hard case; Overall condition: fair (please note: personal viewing essential)
