GRETSCH; an early 1950s 'Syncronatic' arch top guitar with violin cut-outs, length 106cm, in a Hiscox hard 'Light Flite' case. CONDITION REPORT There are no major cracks to the body of the guitar, but there are surface scratches in the varnish. The name at the top of the guitar is clear. One of the machine heads has broken off - it is broken in half, but is present. There are areas of slight rusting to the metal Gretsch sign. The ivory coloured surround to the guitar has been reglued in quite a number of places. Would benefit from some restoration, but is basically intact.
ELVIS PRESLEY INTEREST; a mixed lot of Elvis Presley figures, including an Edwin M. Knowles 'The King of Rock 'n' Roll', numbered A0155, from the Ashton-Drake Galleries, depicting Elvis with his guitar on stage, mounted on a black plinth inscribed with title, two Leonardo Collection figures, a limited edition figure 'The '68 Comeback', no.1918/7500, a boxed 'Elvis by Royal Doulton' character jug, a further boxed Elvis mug, two cabinet plates and a set of coasters.
A multi signed limited edition Mexican Fender Stratocaster in black with a white scratchplate, serial number MZ4050552, signed by various musicians at a Capital Gold radio event. Names include David Gilmour, Amy Winehouse, Paul Rodgers, Albert Lee, Phil Manzanera, Hank Marvin, Joe Walsh, Theresa Anderson and three members if The Crickets, namely Jerry Allison, Sonny Curtis and Joe B Mauldlin. The guitar was kept backstage at the Miller strat pack concert at Wembley Arena on Friday, 24th September 2004 and was signed by the aforementioned artistes. Comes supplied with a COA and a Fender retail box.
