A 1935 Gibson ‘Nick Lucas Special’ acoustic guitar,serial no. 92126 and the FON number appears to be 1890A, but it is not clearly stamped. It is of typical form in a dark sunburst finish with a faux tortoiseshell pickguard. The headstock is inlaid with ‘Gibson’ in script and a fleur-de-lys and is stamped to the reverse ‘Made in the USA’. The 'V' profile mahogany neck on this guitar joins the body at the 14th fret and the body is of maple construction. The fitments to the guitar are all original and it comes complete with a later hard case.
