A French gilt ormolu striking mantle clock marked underneath Walter Griffiths August 5th 1862. The white ceramic face has Roman numerals and minute intervals. There are four hand painted ceramic panels decorated with cherubs, birds and musical instruments on a sevres blue ground. The pediment is surmounted with a bird, open book and guitar. The back plate and front glass is missing. There are garlands, a goat and two cherubs to the foreground platform
