Tiffanie Delune Moments with Self II, 2021 Mixed Media on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Tiffanie Delune is a Paris-born visual artist with a multi-media practice, living and working in London. Expanding from an initial focus on personal trauma and childhood experiences, her practice is instinctively embarking on a wondering wandering. She weaves apparitions in dreams and travel recollections with symbols of her mixed-race family, hints of femininity and flux of spirituality. Navigating between her shadow self and full of light, movement and energy forms, Tiffanie is interested in the magic of storytelling that engages conversations and evokes emotions. Approaching her work with playfulness and an intuitive curiosity, she creates multilayered pieces on cotton canvas, loose linen and smaller pieces of paper; inviting for a dialogue between the scale and the subject. Letting go of any inhibitions in the choice of materials, she longs for textures, meanings and a sense of memory - from acrylic, pastels and papers to glitter, threads, loo roll, keys, bags and dried flowers. In a conflicted world that feels deeply saturated, she puts a special emphasis on sharing a blended, unfiltered narrative in all its depth and authenticity. Self-taught, Tiffanie has fully emerged herself into her practice with daily rituals and creative challenges. Her work has since been exhibited in London, Paris, Lagos and Los Angeles; featured on Forbes, BBC Radio London, Contemporary And, The Financial Times and Artsy; and is held in the permanent collections of the Fondation Gandur pour l'Art in Geneva, Switzerland as well as the New-York Presbytarian Hospital for Women and Newborns in New York City. "The natural world is center stage to my creativity from constellations to the seas, tales of the African Motherland and visions of hope - untouched places without any form of conditioning, birthing a boundless sense of being. Blooming shapes and rich colours give life to unique characters and dreamscapes that infinitely dance between independence and sexuality, strength and vulnerability, stillness and vitality.   Exhibitions   Solo Shows 2020 Seeds Of Light, Curated by Katherine Finerty, The Gramophone Works, London 2019 Metamorphosis, Someth1ng Gallery, London 2018 Coloriosity, 16/16, Lagos   Group Shows 2021 Art On A Postcard for International Women's Day, London 2021 In The Midst Of All That Is, Curated by Terrell Tilford, Band Of Vices, Los Angeles 2020 Art X Lagos, Lagos 2020 Art On A Postcard for International Women's Day, All Bright Mayfair, London 2019 Contemporary African Art, Piasa, Paris 2019 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, Somerset House, London 2018 Portraits of Animals, H Factor, Lagos   Gallery Representation   Ed Cross Fine Art

Diana Savostaite I'll Take A Hot Bath, 2021 Acrylic on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Diana Savostaite (b.1983) was born and raised in a small Lithuanian village. She is a graduate of Vilnius Academy of Arts (2006) and holds a BA honours degree in Fine Arts / Painting. Diana uses oil painting as a primary medium to create colourful and expressive paintings. Her artworks combine lots of colour tones (from light and airy to dark and gloomy) and variety of brush strokes. The painting process is especially important to Diana. In 2018, film director David Lynch's establishment Silencio in Paris held a retrospective of Fowler's work. Gallery Representation Cob Gallery, UK, Suzanne Tarasieve, France, art Now Gallery, Germany About the postcard artworks The life of actress Frances Farmer has been subject to dramatic fictionalisation, relentless scrutiny and mistruths. Having found fame in the 1930's she struggled with the image Hollywood forced upon her and spent the next decade in and out of psychiatric hospitals where she was mistreated and abused. She subsequently suffered from mental health issues for the rest of her life and was subject to a rumour that she had been lobotomised during one of her involuntary institutionalisations. In 1958 she appeared on "This is Your Life" to dispel years of speculation and innuendo. It is devastating to watch as she feels forced to explain herself, relive the worst times of her life and respond with perfect rationality. Her agony is writ large upon her face as she continues to be probed and pushed in front of an eternally unquenchable audience. This drawing is after a still from the broadcast."

Diploma Graduation Exhibition, PTIS - Chiang Mai Thailand   About the postcard artworks   With 'In All My Glory' - I wanted to celebrate all sides of our being as women. Although it is easy to celebrate ourselves through our triumphs, it is the hardships that truly place our sense of self-love and acceptance on trial. Its through hardship that we learn who we truly are, our strength, weaknesses, our priorities, and how to continuously fight ourselves. Dark blues, light blues, light yellows peeking, thick limbs, pink mountains. To be soft and playful, yet to take up space and become heavy. All of it is okay. All of it is valid. It is an ongoing process to take ownership of all of it. But through every crack, every detail, I'd like to celebrate - in all our glory, as we are. "

Her artworks often explore image-making technologies as experienced in everyday life, using painting and drawing. Much of her work has examined the relationship between technologies of representation and the natural world.   Education   MA Contemporary Dialogues, Swansea College of Art, 2015 BA(Hons) Fine Art Painting and Drawing, Swansea College of Art, 2008   Exhibitions   'Summer Exhibition', Royal Academy of Arts, London (2020); 'John Ruskin: Art & Wonder', Millennium Gallery, Sheffield (2019); 'John Ruskin: The Power of Seeing', Two Temple Place, London (2019); 'Site, Light and Survey', National Botanic Garden of Wales, Llanarthne, Wales (2015); 'Jerwood Drawing Prize', London and touring (2014); 'No No, I Hardly Ever Miss a Show', Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2011).   About the postcard artworks   This drawing depicts seaweed collected from a daily walk along the Swansea coastline. The tracing and retracing of a fixed route brought with it a greater awareness of daily and seasonal shifts: the reconfiguration of fragments washed ashore, the arrival and departure of migrating birds. The themes of repetition and transformation are carried over into the drawing - a piece of seaweed photographed, cut out of paper, curled slightly, placed and drawn in silverpoint.

These symbols and forms help define us in multiple ways, many of which are hidden to the external observer. 'Home' is a significant aspect of who we are, not simply a place but a feeling of belonging and safety. Not being able to be or feel at home due to incarceration is something that is a very heavy burden within and without."

Alice Paz Untitled, 2000 TBC Signed verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) Alicia Paz's paintings, collages and standing figures deal primarily with identity and the notion of a divided subject/author, and explore the mutability of subjectivity. Paz focuses on the female figure: the Self is experienced and presented as multiple, paradoxical, and in flux. Inhabiting fantastical and exotic landscapes, Paz's feminine subjects become fused and combined with organic life. Strange and unsettling visions of tree-women and monster-women also represent the fusion of the Subject with painting itself: she often depicts amphibian or plant-like figures "weeping" pigment, their limbs, hair, and various ornamental accoutrements mud-caked and dripping, as if extracted from a colourful, post-cognitive swamp. Her work at times incorporates elements taken from the applied and decorative arts, using these registers as a vehicules for intertwining narratives. Other recent subjects include cultural hybridity and representations of family, exploring the complexities of kinship and lineage in a globalized world.   Education   Paz graduated from U.C. Berkeley, ENSBA-Paris, Goldsmiths College, and Royal College of Art, London.   Exhibitions   Alicia Paz is currently exhibiting her work at the FRAC Ile de France, Château de Rentilly, as part of the group exhibition ""Le Cabaret du Néant"". Up-coming projects include "Life Stories", a group exhibition at Chatsworth House, UK, and a solo presentation at the Maison de l'Amérique Latine in Paris. Collaborative projects scheduled for 2021 include a show at the Beecroft Gallery in Southend-on-Sea, as part of Metal's Thames Estuary Festival, as well as at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in North Lincolnshire, UK.   Paz has had several solo exhibitions in the UK, France, Germany, Mexico, and Argentina, most recently at the Museo Leonora Carrington in San Luis Potosí, Mexico (2019), and also at Kunstmuseum Magdeburg, Germany (2016). The latter was accompanied by a 96-page bilingual monograph published by Verlag für Moderne Kunst, Vienna. As a multi-cultural artist, Paz's work was included in the group exhibit Tous, des sang-mêlés, held at MACVAL, Vitry-sur-Seine, France (2017). Earlier solo projects include an exhibit at Dukan Gallery in Leipzig (2014), Mexican Cultural Institute in Paris (2013), Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London (2006) and Ruth Benzacar Gallery in Buenos Aires (2005). A semi-retrospective exhibit of her work was featured in L.A.C. Sigéan in collaboration with FRAC Occitanie (2010). Paz has also participated in various international painting survey exhibits such as Heute. Spektrum. Malerei. at Kunstmuseum Magdeburg (2012) as well as Slow Magic, Contemporary Approaches to Painting at the Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool (2009). Between 1997 and 2002 Alicia Paz was represented by Espace d'Art Yvonamor Palix (Paris, Mexico City) along with artists Orlan, Sandy Skoglund, Aziz + Cucher, Studio Orta, and Duncan Wylie, among others. Paz's work is part of various international public and private collections and has been the subject of numerous catalogues and publications; her work has has been reviewed/featured widely (Art News, Art Press, Modern Painters, Art Forum, Turps Banana, The Guardian, Le Monde, Libération, Beaux-Arts Magazine, New York Times, Reforma, etc...). In August 2017 Paz unveiled a public sculpture commission at Kunstmuseum Magdeburg, titled Insel der Puppen (Island of Dolls), in steel and enamel.   About the postcard artworks   These are maquettes I developed in preparation for paintings, dating from 2000. For many years I have been interested representations of the ""artist figure"", allegories of painting, and gender relations between subject and author.

Bea Denton Out of Darkness i, 2021 Digital Print on Hahnemühle Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Bea Denton's practice explores ideas around death and loss, faith and ritual. Photography, printmaking, found materials and lost images are intrinsic to her creative process. Pushing the boundaries of the technical and physical limitations of photography, her work transcends its realist conventions to achieve a deeper resonance. Denton is a collector and archivist of anonymous lives, departed and reincarnated, in pursuit of an essence in the image: the 'soul'. In her examination of faith and death, Denton attempts to find meaning and dimension through the imprint of time, light and phenomena. In a circuitous process, found images are penetrated, interrogated and excavated through alternate layers of photography, projection, recaptured from the lens of a Camera Obscura, from there back to photography and finally to print. The resulting enigmatic, dislocated images challenge a traditional idea of photography as a faithful record of reality, and instead explore the nature of perception, belief and memory.   Education   Denton graduated from UAL with Distinction in MA Fine Art Printmaking.   Exhibitions/Awards   She has exhibited widely, including publicly-sited work. She won the 2009 Creekside Open prize selected by Jenni Lomax; the 2007 Deptford X MacDonald Egan Award for Public Art, and the 2002 Ardizzone Prize (Major) for Printmaking. The ephemeral shadow of her stone effigy captured by half-light alludes to these characteristics of resilience; an image revealed by the brilliance of light seeping into darkness, and fixing its place in the soul."

The ephemeral shadow of her stone effigy captured by half-light alludes to these characteristics of resilience; an image revealed by the brilliance of light seeping into darkness, and fixing its place in the soul."

Bea Denton Out of Darkness iii, 2021 Digital Print on Hahnemühle Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Bea Denton's practice explores ideas around death and loss, faith and ritual. Harriet Porter ...Calm, 2021 Oil on Paper Signed verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) "Harriet Porter is a London-based artist specialising in still life painting. She uses this traditional discipline to create contemporary minimal pieces inspired by her fascination with light. Working closely from observation, she creates pared back compositions of single solitary objects emerging from deep shadows or basking in soft daylight. The objects are sourced from her growing collection of antique silverware, but rather than depicting the object itself, she focusses on the shapes of tones in her view: these elegant reflective vessels exist simply as part of their surroundings, blending into - and defined by - the space around them. She works over time, gradually building layers of glaze, these subtle gradations of tone creating the illusion of slow quiet movement, like a calm river on a still summer's evening. Porter's preoccupation is informed by her 30 year career as an art director and stylist. Working in film and photography, she found the camera increasingly frustrating. As a capturing device it became insufficient to describe the wonder with which she perceived the shimmer that constantly caught her eye. Through the solitary process of painting she has been able to achieve more accurate results. Florence Peake Eye in the Sky, 2020 Acrylic and Acrylic Medium on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.)   Florence Peake (b. 1973) is a London-based artist who has been making work since 1995. She makes solo and group performance works intertwined with an extensive visual art practice. Presenting work internationally and across the UK in galleries, theatres and outdoors, she is known for an approach which is at once sensual and witty, expressive and rigorous, political and intimate. Peake's performance practice uses drawing, painting and sculpture combined with found and fabricated objects placed in relation to the moving body. Her work explores notions of materiality and physicality; the body as site and vehicle of protest, and political concerns around freedom, the anthropocene and the commodification of art. By encouraging chaotic relationships between the body and material, she creates radical and outlandish performances, creating temporary alliances and micro-communities within the audience. Following on from performances she often creates sculpture and painting; these artworks serve as documentation but also as ways of processing the experience of the performance itself, relationships with dancers, audiences and sites.   Exhibitions   Her work has been presented at at Arsenic, Switzerland 2020, Venice Biennale 2019 with Eve Stainton; CRAC Occitanie, Sète, France (2018), London Contemporary Music Festival, UK (2018), Bosse & Baum, London, UK (2019); De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, UK (2018); Palais De Tokyo, Paris, France (2018); Hayward Gallery, London UK (2018), Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge, UK (2017), Studio Leigh, London UK (2017); Sara Zanin Gallery, Rome, Italy (2017); Serpentine, London UK (2016); Whitechapel Gallery, London, UK (2016); ICA, London (2016); Modern Art Oxford (2016); BALTIC, Newcastle UK (2013), Frieze, London UK (2013), Yorkshire Sculpture Park (2012).

Our story has no language. My loss always in communication with your loss." -Ella Longpre, How to Keep You Alive Who do we choose to remember, and how? These ideas are fraught terrain that cross family relationships, identities, and collective memorialization. For some, living memory supports an elongation of our lives-we only succumb to a blank past when our histories are no longer recalled and held by those that once cared for us. A family photograph is such a vessel of retrieving memory. As time accumulates, however, these emotionally laden images become unknowable, missing their necessary translators. Despite this gradual disintegration of previous selves, our bodies are still affected by the actions of our ancestors. Their lives are encoded into our beings through often-complex interconnections, whether through epigenetics or other practices preserved through time. The inherent loss embedded in these discarded photographs is intertwined with the fragility of the body itself. The depicted bodies can both reveal and conceal embodied language, personality, as well as emotional and physical health. These ties to corporeality and lineages hold us in ways that can manifest as a tender embrace or even a suffocation. In "Forgetting is so long," I collect abandoned family photographs, enlarge them to life-size, and paint over them as a kind of re-enlivening, removing the individuals from their formerly static location and time. Family photographs are revered vestiges to their loved ones, but if they become unmoored, the images and people within become hauntingly absent. Anthropologist Michael Taussig states that defacing sacred objects forces a "shock into being." Suddenly, we perceive them as present and piercing. By mixing painting with photography, I seek to lengthen Roland Barthes' "moment of death" (the photograph) into a loving act of remembrance. Bright swathes of color and the use of painted floral patterns underline relationships and connections to the natural world and beyond, adorning and embellishing these relics with devotional marks of care. These nearly forgotten people are transfigured and "reborn" into a fantastical, liminal place that holds both beauty and joy, temporarily suspended from plunging fully into oblivion.

Emma Childs Untitled, 2021 Mixed Media on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Emma Childs is an American painter born in 1996. Childs graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) with a BFA in General Fine Arts. The Baltimore native uses eloquent shapes and thoughtful pops of colour to create objects that physically interact with their environment. Through her minimalist approach, Childs transforms experiences and emotions into simplified form, colour, and geometric edges. The results are eye-catching compositions, which tell complicated and interconnected narratives in an accessible way. Childs's paintings are layered depictions of existence in the worlds we build around ourselves. I love to observe the way people find comfort, support, and challenge in relationship. This can be friendship, a family bond, support from a stranger, a secret admiration, or a romance. We all cannot live without this feeling of relationship in some form or another, and I enjoy the challenge of creating a visual metaphor that is so pared down, that hopefully it leaves room for any viewer to find a feeling of familiarity and unity in the human experience.

Helen Dixon Rain 1/4, 2021 Cyanotype on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Helen is a London-based artist who works predominantly with the cyanotype photographic process, which uses simple chemistry, light and water to produce a prussian blue image.
