Ephemera: framed WW1 items as follows: 1) A rare award certificate for the French Medaille Militaire dated 10/7/15 to SGT. Ernest Chidgey re. DCM, MM, MID, Medaille Militaire. Medaiile Militaire for gallantry on 19th Nov, 1914. Nicely framed. 2) A portrait of Ernest Chidgey RE. in civilian clothes. 3) A framed picture of the Somerset L.I. The back annotated 'To Leo In Memory of Grandad Chidgey died 20th Feb 1963 aged 82' It says it was a picture of his first regiment and hung above his bunk at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and signed H. Chidgey, Executor to the estate of E. Chidgey DCM. MM. 19/3/63/ Interesting lot. (3) Fragile
A Creamware Teapot and Cover, circa 1760, painted in monochrome red with Miss Pitt taking tea, 13cm high; An 18th Century Blanc de Chine Saucer, 14cm diameter; and A Chelsea Style Goat and Bee Jug, 11cm high (4) Teapot cracked and with some wear and staining. Saucer extensively repaired. Jug with some chips and cracks. 210115
A Chelsea Porcelain ''Tea Plant'' Coffee Pot and Cover, circa 1744-49, of fluted baluster form moulded with flowering leafy branches, incised triangle mark, 34cm high Provenance: Ex Arthur Hare Collection Minor chips to inner flange of cover. Large section of tip of spout missing. Handle restuck. 1cm restored chip to rim and with associated hairline crack. Some typical minor chipping to applied decoration. Flat chip to foot and minor staining. 210115
